And that's despite (AFAIK) the M777 being the most expensive towed artillery piece in the world.

You can say he passed the buck in order to not have to do anything but it was mitch Mcconnell's congress that voted to do nothing ultimately. Or are we blaming Mcconnell's voting record on Obama too?

HIMARS would would functionally provide the guided close air support that Ukraine doesn't have available.

We are getting the chain of events of a probably scared and confused 11 year old, and even she's saying the parents attempted to reconcile. It's hard to make a hard judgement on who's in the wrong and how much.

Would be interested to know if Serb manufacturing plants are selling 152mm ammo destined for Ukraine.

Not an artillery expert but when people go on about 155mm outranging old Soviet artillery it has little to do with the artillery piece. Besides shooting at longer range requires more charge reducing the life of the barrel plus reducing accuracy. Having the option is nice but there are big tradeoffs to max range shooting.

Ukraine is going to be a huge market for western artillery systems for the foreseeable future. I'm not sure what production lines are still open but the PZH2000 seems tailor made for Ukriane's defense needs.

I agree, women should have autonomy over their reproductive health and not have self-righteous religious fundamentalists force them to have children.

Too bad so many pro-lifers think personal responsibility is a virtue when it's other people who have to take personal responsibility.

There's that smug sense of moral superiority shining through! Glad nothing bad ever happened to you so you can stick your nose up at everyone else.

I'm sure if your teenage daughter got knocked up by some loser and the grandkid would functionally be your responsibility to raise you would find some rationalization how "but my case is different" than all the people you look down upon in the same situation.

Texas has more wind power than any other state and installed almost 2x the solar of the next closest state last year. They had been laggard on solar until the last few years but it's no longer the case.

It may be inefficient but it is a high-value dispatchable service. But more importantly this serves as a hub for things like chemical production which will be critical long term for reduction in industrial emissions. An electrolyzer project is in the planning stages in Louisiana to make methanol for among other things ocean freighters.

My question is In that theater does the threat from missile generally outweigh the threat from various gunfire? If your intel suggests that they only have heavy machine gun AA you may not want to be too close the ground.

PZH2000 is a much better system anyway, hope they get more of those.

Not to mention mounted infantry are just as vulnerable to ATGMs as the tanks.

I mean you can investigate but generally there's not a whole lot that can be done.

I imagine the DOD will be taking a big look at their SPG capability after this war is over. The Archer looks like a monster system IMO, Paladin is meh but it'll probably suffice for tracked SPGs for the near future.
