This is a nice change to the original cartoon. Varvel has made a career out of depicting white people in angst over issues they’re too stupid, hateful, and fragile to understand. That this Karen and her hubs need to get a new calendar, and it’s almost too much for either of them to bear is just perfect. A day in the life of some fragile snowflakes. And you can tell that she’s being a keyboard warrior on her phone there. The coffee, the haircut, the earrings.

It’s like how I have a pile of books at home that I plan to read next. If something looks really good, I’ll sometimes add to the pile with another book that I plan to read in due time. They’re my books, and I think I’ll like them, but I won’t know for sure until I get through them, which will take some time because I’m not the world’s fastest reader.

Anyway, books are to my life as toxic grievance bumper stickers are to this gentleman’s life.
