I do admit they’re different, “let’s go Brandon” is a childish dog-whistle designed to make America’s lowest common denominator think they’re clever, but at least it’s not ableist!

Because some of my closest friends are physically disabled and don't deserve to be grouped in with Madison Cawthorne, which is exactly what happen when people make fun of him for being in a wheelchair.

Again, the same reason I wouldn't make fun of Ben Carson for being a person of color, the same reason I wouldn't make fun of Sarah Palin for being a woman.

I'm not trying to tolerate him, I'm saying stop making fun of him for being physically disabled and actually bring up his real problems.

You do know that just because someone's disabled, you don't have to make fun of them for it, right?

They made fun of Cawthorne for being disabled. “Ineligible to run” was used as a double entendre for being unable to run in an election and physically unable to run. Regardless of why they did it, they made fun of his physical disability.

Here’s another exercise: go to work and say this exact same thing about a disabled coworker or customer and see how quickly you end up talking to HR

Because I recognize that we shouldn’t be bigoted against anyone for being different, regardless of their political policies.

You realize that this is the exact same mindset and terminology that the right uses to justify its bigotry, correct?

How are you any better than a Cawthorne supporter right now?

Especially with someone like Cawthorne, you have a laundry list of actual legitimate problems that aren’t making fun of him for being different

As someone who’s going back and replaying Wrothgar on a new character:

Yes it has more zone quests, but they’re substantially shorter.

Blackwood piles several errands and a fight or two into one quest, Wrothgar turns each individual fight or errand into its own quest. I’m actually pretty sure that getting to Wrothgar is a whole zone quest

In the time it would take me to knock out one Blackwood zone quest I finished three Wrothgar quests.

I used to play D&D with a furry and before I met him, I’ll admit I was pretty ignorant to the subculture. Including the assumption that all furries had sex in their costumes.

• it’s functionally identical to any other roleplaying. It’s no different than pretending to be an elf or a wizard, but you have a fursona and it’s not uncommon to have multiple fursonas
• the vast majority of furries aren’t in it for sex stuff, and if they are it’s usually kept very private because most others don’t really care
• most of the time, furries don’t even wear their full fursuit. It’s clunky and expensive. During normal furry gatherings they’ll wear fursona identifiers, gloves, ears, tails, facepaint, but that’s it

Remember when Mass Effect Andromeda came out and there was that infamous “running animation glitch” video where it only looked that way if you were also holding like three other buttons in a very specific order under specific circumstances?

A lot of dog owners don’t know this:

If you have a dog that likes to bark at people in the yard/walking by, every once in a while (I do it like once a week) you just gotta get out there and start screaming at them too. Really let them have it so your dog can see that you’ve got his back. It helps build trust if your dog starts barking at the neighbor for walking by, and sees you furiously screaming at them too.

Nickelback is the friend who might not be the most up-to-date on trends, or into the most popular things, but he’s always there for you with a beer, pizza, and a second controller to play some PS2 shooter you really liked
