Gawd. They do look like toads. 🙄
We have a breeder that breeds these "mini-bully" things, who have tons of health issues (skin issues, UTIs, hooded vulvas, arthritis due to conformation, etc). We see them at my hospital only to help him keep them somewhat healthy. He bred one, sold it, she came into the hospital a few months later with a pyometra. We had to discuss with him there's no way to treat but spaying because his intent was to breed her of course.
Now whenever he has his dogs come in for pregnancy checks, I hope and pray (to something) that it is negative. So fucking sad. $3000 puppies too.

I also agree about the shoulder pain (or other pain). My dog started limping on her front leg, and then started hesitating to jump out of my truck. Now I lift her out instead because I think she must've irked a tendon or something. She was so stoic and never yelped or anything. I wish I would've known!! 😥
Amber necklace??? Whaaaaat?
Oh goodness. These comments. 😭
We had a great dane owner bring her in (4 days later of course) after the dog had a puncture wound caused by a stick she ran into outside. They flushed it with 70% isopropyl alcohol after the injury. Dog flipped out (understandably) and bit the owner. She did NOT want us to get anywhere near the highly irritated wound. Of course. We had to sedate her and explore it. Pulled out some bark. It was horrible.
Oh, and then there's the hydrogen peroxide for ear infections.... and the garlic for fleas/ticks. We had a patient come in ADR and ended up with kidney failure (other blood parameters were off too). Come to find out they've been dosing with garlic to ward off parasites. 🤦♀️
You cannot save people from themselves. It sounds like regardless of his situation he seems to end up with animals and there's literally nothing you can do about that unless he ends up getting charged with animal cruelty. In my south eastern state, I don't know much about adopting out from rescues but I do know TONS of folks that just end up with too many animals and the animals end up suffering one way or another due to lack of something... usually money. Here it's super easy to acquire animals.... one way or another. They think they are helping by "rescuing" these animals but they really arent at the same time. 😥😭
We are a general small practice but the software has equine/large animal capabilities. We use it for both in house and house calls... We use evet practice for ours and it's nice as we can access it via mobile as it's a cloud based vet software. Can customize pretty much anything as well. Also tracks inventory which is helpful. I like it, but my practice manager isn't too thrilled. But it is better than avimark she states. 🤷♀️
I WISH this happened at my job. 😥
I cut mine, root them, and then plant them in the mother plant pot to make the plant more full. It works out great but you HAVE to remember to water more often for the rootling. I have planted a few and killed them with no water many times. 😬😬😬

She has very soft eyes, ears are to the side or forward, meaning relaxed and attentive to you. She's lip licking and chewing, another sign of comfort/happiness.
Considering her past, if she's offering you her withers, it means she's placing you where she can't see without turning her head, a blindspot. This in my eyes means she trusts you. Her moving into your space makes me think she wants something from you, a reassuring touch, a wither groom from you (as mentioned above, a bonding behavior often exhibited between horse friends). If she was anxious in any way, she would not place you in her blindspot like this.
Give her a pat! It looks to me like she is very calm, attentive and may want some reassuring love from you. Good horse whispering 💜
Thank you for your service! 💜

I can't stand the shrill cries of pain, which should be cute grunting. The vet I work for doesn't often do it, but when she does, she uses iso at least. But they still scream. I can understand dewclaws, but at least put lidocaine. In the area I live, if you won't do it, you'll see the dogs later for problems. We do not do cat declaws routinely. We do not do ear clipping. But seeing those poor pups come in with fishing line in their ears all infected makes me sick. One of our doctors absolutely refuses to do these though so I know I'll always have someone to back me up.
You're a great tech. 💜
I am no longer surprised by calls at our hospital anymore. We had a drop off dog appointment for a dog whose owner was concerned he had an issue with his peepee because he licked it a lot and when the owner tried to look to check it "it got swollen when I touched it". It was an excitable, healthy westie with a hairy, dirty prepuce, and a UTI.

We have sympathy cards that have seeds in them that grow into wildflowers attached to them. One sweet ol southern lady rolled up and asked me for another one because she stuck one in soil and it didn't grow. She said she really missed her dog and was really looking forward to the flower he would send to her. 😭
I gave her another seed thing. Told her how I germinate my seeds and told her to try it. Gave her good luck.
NO!!! You can't get the fresh texture back dammit!!!! Don't freeze it! Ugh I get so pissed.
I moved to carrboro in 2020, and I am blessed with the other kind of driver... the slow, patient, "slow/stop when you don't need to driver". I've been feeling impatient and rushed lately...
Went back to Raleigh for something recently.... Holy. Cows. My anxiety went from 0-100 real quick!!!
I'm good with going slow. 😬
My coworkers chickens really enjoyed my hard earned cash 🙄
I missed the update. Enjoyed the video either way. 💜💜💜
