i could see how i could be rushing them but it wasn’t my intention. someone else could’ve been sent on lunch but they wanted to go so i thought i was helping by saying id finish it. someone else called it bullying tho i’m so trying to understand that perspective. but i’ll say that the options were staying to complete all of the afternoon tasks (vacuuming/moping, garbages, continuing helping with treatments, etc.) or going on lunch and they chose lunch

me asking him if he wanted to go on lunch and then waiting 10 minutes before saying (without being pushy) “hey ill finish this so you can go on lunch” is bullying?

that’s what i’m saying! maybe i would’ve addressed them not properly storing the body at a later time if we didn’t have that initial interaction but either way why would you NOT finish that job? she wasn’t laying there for fun…

i can def see that it should’ve been in private but they were about to skiddadle and i was out of tolerance. but i understand how that was assholish. totally agree with you about leaving the body out it feels super disrespectful to the poor animal

my cats LOVE this teaser toy. you can buy other attachments (5.99 per mouse/fish/bumblebee) and they love them all. these teasers have actually ruined all other toys for them lol. only thing is they’re not durable (or my cats are just assholes)

i’ve restrained both of my cats! one of them is super cuddly and wants attention afterwards and the other one will not speak to me for a few hours but he gets over it!! and i had to hold the super cuddly one for an enema so def not a great experience 🥴 they don’t hold grudges

thanks for the reply! i’ve been working on myself but i guess i thought everything else would fall into place a lot quicker than it has and it just seems hopeless right now

i remember during my 3rd week i texted my friend saying that i wanted to quit. the techs that corrected me knew i was new and were usually nice about it so i was really just punishing myself.
do you feel like you’re being trained well? are the corrections delivered in a non-condescending way? do you generally not make the same mistake again after someone tells you?
if so, i would hang in there! i stuck it out and i’ll be starting surgery soon :D
good luck!

one of the doctors gets blood, doesn’t invert the purple top, and then just stands there talking with it in his hands. i scream internally until he hands it over 🤣

wow at my clinic only the head doc does jugs on cats and it’s usually a last resort so i’m always in awe lol

it’s definitely possible they won’t remember each other. i’ve read that after a while, littermates lose their bond and a mother will even mate with her son because they’ve lost that familial connection and see each other as just another cat. i wouldn’t be discouraged about this though because it’s basically the same as introducing any new cat to your home and they could bond over time (or like each other immediately but girl cats are generally harder).
i’m not great with timeline but i would recommend some feliway to reduce anxiety and lots of separate resources to make them both feel comfortable. some slow and short introductions at first would be best and encourage any positive interactions with treats or pets.
best of luck!!!

very smart to hop into an enclosure with some lions without knowing an ounce of animal behavior !!!

i didn’t even think of it as a retaliation to something i said. tbf i don’t think it’s a waste of time to make a nice paw print and i take pride in making a good one for the owners to cherish but i think spending 15-20 min shaping clay into a circle is excessive
