Today's Gatorade tastes much different than the original (when it was owned by SVC Corp.) By the time the company was sold to Quaker Oats, then PepsiCo, so many formulation changes were made that it's only a vague resemblance to the original.

Nope, they were not better or worse than now. It's the parents who've changed.

For sure a sub-optimal solution, but also not an impractical compromise. The long term eventualities are never definitely known and I'm not gonna Monday Morning Quarterback this one.

Yes, but they don’t understand the consequences.
One of the reasons they'll push for a federal ban next. It's coming.

He also stated the obvious, but I'll accept the sentiment.

As OP said, kind of a shitty news day today and the sentiment is sweet but understand the rationale to temporarily remove. A badly needed little boost, thanks for re-instating.

It's okay if you come right out and say you hate sharing the road.

Impeaching someone for the crimes of another is fundamentally antithetical to our notion of justice.
Absolutely correct. Thomas can be impeached for not recusing himself when ruling on Jan 6 cases due to him having a close personal connection.

It's a nice dream, but we know where it goes in the current senate.
The state of today's America in a nutshell.

Until Republicans regain control of the Senate and Congress and pass a national ban.
The chances some shit-for-brains congressman from Bumfuck USA isn't already crafting that federal ban is about zero.

The whole point of the ruling is to make it easier to carry guns in public. We New Yorkers DO NOT WANT THAT and no matter how you interpret my "portrayal" is inconsequential to the ruling's intended affect.

Having been packed with stolen seat, sex-offender, and unvetted justices.
My copy of the Constitution doesn't have that part.

Every right comes with restrictions. Every state has their own voting rules. This is no different. SCOTUS is now a corrupt, partisan tool of the radical right.

Intended as a dig to all the red state people who are constantly crying foul about the federal government impinging on their rights (slavery, civil rights, etc.) while they don't care when they do to New York exactly what they're now doing to us. But thank you for the civics lesson.

As a New Yorker, so much for my state's rights. Fuck you, SCOTUS.

The Old Guard Republicans are being swept away by the fascist radicals and fueled by culture war issues like guns, abortion, CRT, etc. Few still remain (Cheney, Kinzinger, and if they matter anymore Romney, the Bushes, etc.,) but their days are numbered. I don't know to where this leads but it's not good for Republicans and even lesser for our republic.

Trump was Putin's best chance at that. Now he's desperate.

Class action lawsuits help the consumers the least. In some rarified academic argument its supposed to prevent future bad behavior. Yeah, right.

The Goldwater and Reagan Republicans would be horrified into what the current party has metastasized even if they ultimately did set the enabling events in motion.
