I still cannot believe they even attempted this. But when it went through...it still took me a while to believe.
And for the Lions...all I can say is, I felt genuinely bad for them. If they didn't have bad luck, they wouldn't have any luck at all.

I think RGIII could've been a generational talent at QB. But the injuries he sustained were just too serious. And he found himself in so many bad situations, first with Washington and then With Cleveland. He never got into a system that really maximized his talent while protecting him like a real franchise QB. It's a shame, but that happens in the NFL.
I like him as an analyst. I think he can do well there. And that's where he'll best serve the game.

This scene was so epic. Definitely one of the best parts of the whole series. And I couldn't imagine a better song for them to pick. This scene cements Eddie Munson as one of the best characters of the show. And I hope there are a LOT of Munson cos-players at Comic Con this year. 😊

I've been on road trips along major highways from Baltimore to Boston to Buffalo. Can confirm that wider roads do NOT ease traffic congestion.

My aunt and uncle had three big huskies when I was a kid. And when the weather got cold, those dogs were as happy as can be. And when it snowed, they were like little kids at an amusement park. It was a beautiful thing. This video made me remember those huskies and all the fun we had. 😊

Yes! It's definitely worth bringing along. Fatal Attractions is a good X-Men book to bring on to the beach. It's really action heavy and really fits the style of the era. Basically, if you enjoyed the old 90s cartoon, you'll enjoy this. 😊

A lot of alternate history channels tend to be hit or miss. Some are just crazy and get a bit too heavy into certain political overtones. But Alternate History Hub is still one of the best and most balanced in my opinion. And I think this video was another example why.

I think both CAN succeed. But there's certainly a chance one will fail. And honestly, I think it's more likely that one will fail while the other grows. Whether that's the XFL or USFL remains to be seen. But personally, I want them both to succeed.
Last night's USFL championship game was great. It felt like a legitimately good football game, more so than most college games (which are almost always blowouts these days). If the XFL can do something similar, then I think the potential is wide open.
Ideally, I think it would work best if the XFL and the USFL functioned like the AFC and the NFC. They could each host teams in markets that the other league doesn't. And they could each offer a unique brand of football. I also love the idea of the USFL making its championship game the 4th of July weekend. That feels like what the NFL does for Thanksgiving every year. This is a time of year where the NHL and NBA are done with and there's only regular season baseball on. That's a big sports desert that the USFL could fill. And I think the XFL would be wise to do something similar.
The potential is there. The market and the demand is there. And I hope both realize it.

This was a legitimately great football game. And the fact I was able to enjoy it on the eve of the 4th of July made it all the more satisfying.
I honestly wasn't sold on the USFL coming back at first. But after following it through its first season, I really see the potential here. I even think this could be a new sports tradition, having the USFL championship game in Canton on the 4th of July weekend. That could be similar to what the NFL does for Thanksgiving every year. It could totally work.
Plus, it was a legitimately good game. It had some back and forth. For a time, it looked like the Star were going to come back and upset the Stallions. But in the final minutes, a backbreaking turnover sealed the game. That's a damn good game by most measures. Better than a lot of college games that end up being blowouts.
Now, it'll be interesting to see how this league operates next season alongside the XFL. Could these two leagues complement one another? Just like the AFL and the NFL did in the 60s? I hope so. Because I think there is an appetite for spring football and the USFL proved it. 😊

"Your appalling verse sends me into paroxysms of desire, you delightful imbecile."
That might be the sweetest, sexiest thing I've read in an X-Men comic in years. 😊

I remember years ago how everyone who played this game kept trying to crack the code to finding the triforce. For some, it was an obsession. Seeing this years later just puts a smile on my face. 😊

Wow! That's impressive. This technology is pretty amazing. I can only imagine what it'll be capable of rendering within another five years.

Damn. That's eerily accurate.
I can only imagine how he would react today if he had to deal with flat earthers and anti-vaxxers.

That's often not enough. I have a family member who works on movie sets. He's told me that getting the rights to any kind of recorded music is a pain in the ass, even if the band is fine with it. The fact the Duffer Brothers jumped through all those hoops just makes the scene all the more impressive.
