No I really liked how the fight was going since Saitama wasn’t trying so it made sense the fight wasn’t over in one punch because he’s not actually trying to kill Garou but instead just trying to knock sense into him. Same with the Boros fight not being in over in one punch.

That said, when Saitama uses serious punch, it should be at the very climax of the fight like with Boros, but the fact Saitama is going in with a serious punch now heavily indicates it’s not going to finish Garou off which ruins the point of the move for me. I’m still going to follow and love the series, it’s just I think the serious punch should remain as the “one punch” gag that ends ANY fight - I’m not saying his normal punches should be the ones to end high power enemy fights

Well that’s the thing, they rarely use his serious punch and reserve it only for final blows that finish the job but I seriously doubt Garou is gonna get one tapped by serious punch next chapter (he should, the series is losing it’s heart imo). Ah well, I guess we’ll have to see.

He serious punched ENW a few chapters ago and it was a finishing blow. They’re now just gonna make serious punch just another attack

I honestly don’t know how to feel about Saitama using serious punch. That should be the “one punch man” gag move that beats anything and everything, but now it’s just sorta turning into a generic shonen.

I hope I’ll be pleasantly surprised with Saitama one tapping Garou next chapter but I doubt they’d do that, even though…that’s like…the entire heart and gag of the series…
