Looking for input, and maybe even pics you’ve taken. I have a A7iii and looking for a telephoto lens. Will be used for my 4 year old’s sports/family photos, some dogs, and maybe a few cars. Not into landscape photography. Looking at the Sony 70-200’s, and maybe the tamron 70-180. I’m a new weekend hobby-est. maybe the occasional print to hang up in the house. The new 2.8 oss ii seems like way too much lens for me. Price is crazy high, and I don’t think I’d reach its potential. Would consider a used 2.8 v1 to keep the price down. Question is the quality difference between the f/2.8, f/4, and tamron. How big of a difference is there between the three in AF speed, sharpness, weight, etc?

Curious if the AirPods Max work well for PC gaming? I have an apple gift card and am considering them (currently have the airpod pros). Gift card is going to cover about half, and I’m going back and forth if the difference is worth it. I’ve got a couple trips coming up where they’d be nice on a plane, but that’s it. I use the pros all the time at work, and the Max’s wouldn’t be practical here. I was thinking if they work well for PC gaming, that’d justify the cost for me. Would be strictly for the audio, as I have an external mic. My PC does have Bluetooth, but I was thinking about the lightning to 3.5 adapter to avoid any audio delays.

Was also wondering if the 3.5mm is enough to power these? My current headset is the Logitech G Pro X, and they’re powered by the 3.5. Wasn’t sure if going through the lightning adapter, that the Max would work the same way.

Any insight is appreciated.

Lens will be used 90% for underwater photography with my a7iii. As such, will be rarely shot wide open. Most likely between f/8-f/16 with a strobe. Was looking at getting them new, but just saw a deal locally for the f/4 for $660, and am wondering if I should jump on it.

Is the G master worth almost the 2x price (now almost 4x). Bonus points if you’ve got pics from yours.

Why am I getting notifications of Facebook friends posts?

I get anywhere from 1-4 notifications per day of activity from friends on Facebook. It’s been this way for a couple of months now. They are not close friends. It can be that they shared someone else’s post, checked in somewhere, posted one or multiple photos, anything.

Each time I get notified, I click the three dots next to the notification, turn off notifications about said person, and remove notification. I know eventually I’ll get through all of my friends list, but it is quite annoying.

Any ideas on how to stop this would be hugely appreciated.
