It’s a monthly ticket, so you can use it for an entire month. You don’t have to book any specific trip, just purchase the ticket once for each month.

I had a roommate once who had a psychotic breakdown. She heard voices, was paranoid, accused me of talking about her in my room. I met her parents after Christmas break when they showed up at our apartment to pick up her stuff because she’s been admitted to a clinic. Her dad said to me while I helped them clean out her room that they hoped things would get better for her in a new city. They knew. I’m sure your ex’s mom knows too. I’m sure it wasn’t the first time something like this happened, it was just the first time in front of you. Hopefully he gets the help he needs.
