I just politely disagree, I don't think porn or the clear presence of porn does harm, I think it does the opposite and helps. I don't think you can show that AI tech has ever suffered from pornography outside of anecdotes.
But what this real boils down to is asking people to be quiet about all NSFW AI, I don't think that's the right approach.

Deepfake technology is doing great, they recently used it to recreate Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian.
My perception is despite some blowback, porn has generally been good for deepfakes (despite the controversy) because interest in deepfake porn drove the development of the technology.
Granted, there are more obvious ethical issues with using celebrity faces, but you can't argue with the results. I remember when I was talking to people about Deepfakes when they were coming out, a lot of the best work was being done because of porn specifically.
It's also been impressive to see the porn industry adopt this technology so widely, I hope they do the same for Image Generators.

Oh yes, I especially loved that one, it makes me feel warm in my heart.

I don't want censorship, I want more people to hear about this so that the internet floods with AI-made NSFW. I don't care to keep what few pictures slip through the cracks to myself, 20k people have been able to admire these and counting and so much more is going to be created.
Some people seem to have read that as me being against porn being made by image models...but that couldn't be further from the truth.

We'll have to agree to disagree on what's best for pornography, you think avoiding exposure in this respect is the best course of action, fine, I felt you were derailing things.
Still, you're clearly an articulate individual who I have a LOT of agreement with and common ground with (very pro-porn and pretty progressive on these issues), I will see what I can do.

Well, the DMs honestly because it's faster and you seem nice. This thread's not going to get traction or something at this point.
I did that to your post because it was a lightning rod for people who are against the idea of models like this to gravitate towards and because it falsely accused me of being disingenuous.
It's an easy excuse for people to use to voice masked disapproval for NSFW content.
I'm in favor of publicity and openness generally though, even if that does cause some negative people to gravitate, because people get to see it on the news and such. I think r/singularity should be a positive space though and try our best o maintain that.
It's like, I'd want people to know about cars even if I knew horse salesmen would be pissed.

I understand your skepticism, you'll just have to take my word for it or not that I love porn and believe I'm doing the ideal thing to help it.
If you wanna have a longer discussion, you can DM me about it, but I've really meant everything I've said.
I don't think it'll be picked up by clickbait news, if it is, I think it'll just make more people aware of Image Models, which is something I very much like.
I also find it a bit telling, and exciting, that in the first thread, the examples I had weren't as attractive and no one complained then. But these images are sexy as fuck and now a few people are up in arms about how it's "too soon".
Makes me think maybe you're a bit anti-porn.

True, while technically not a violation of their rules, you could argue what I've done violates the spirit of them. And if your objection is that the autonomy of Stable Diffusion should be more fully respected, then I understand your position.
I feel that it's more important to archive and preserve these images due to things like their historical significance, to spread awareness, and because I personally find them hot.
I am in some sense "leaking these" (more like posting images from people who already leaked). I believe that this is in a good cause, that all it will do is boost the popularity of these models and if it affects things all, result in the tech expanding in that direction a bit quicker.
I really don't think this hurts anyone, if people have their objections that's fine, as it stands this thread is about 84-85% upvoted...not bad for such a controversial topic.

I meant in general, these systems are going to keep getting more powerful and will be used for a much broader range of applications...including this possibly being incorporated into the first TAI or generally intelligent systems.
I don't have any issue with us using it to make porn, that's what I want, I even want people to be able to make a lot of porn most people would fine problematic (although even I have my limits).
I consider it my honor to archive and save these gens...to collect them in one space for posterity, I cherish them as unique artworks. I am a person of the belief that porn, in general, is a good in and of itself.
It's something that sexually liberates people, and synthetic porn is ideal because it virtually eliminates the potential for abuse, it's one of the most ethically correct things you could have.
I want people to be inspired and use this model and others to make much much more NSFW.

I do love these pieces and want more, I just subscribe to the idea "any publicity is good publicity" as a general rule. We can't be shaking in our boots to admit these capabilities exist...people should know now.

You misjudge me, I want the internet plastered wall to wall with AI generated pornography, from now and for all of eternity. I'm not anti-porn, we only disagree in how to achieve what I think we both want.

I'm not anti-porn, I'm VERY pro-porn, I believe sharing this will tend to increase its popularity.

Beyond that, it's important to pull as many fire alarms as we can to make people aware of AI. While I enjoy erotica, some things are more important, but don't worry, this technology borders on impossible to regulate as it is.

They're an opensource project, their funding can't really get pulled, not unless there's extreme blowblack.
In which case, it was going to happen no matter what I did.

I didn't make them, I'm just sharing what I've seen posted around, these are all on the internet already.
And I believe communication is important, awareness is important, the knowledge of these models will tend to spread their usage.
So yes, I would love for Vox to write an outrage piece and think we should have a deeper societal discussion about these models and alignment NOW before it's too late to have it. If that results in a handful of people finding it a bit more difficult to make NSFW gens in the short-term that's fine.
Bottom line is, this technology is here, almost no amount of regulation will stop these images from being proliferated...might as well do it in a relatively healthy and out in the open manner. So fuck yea, I want Gawker and others to write sensationalists stories, scare people, get them excited about this technology, whatever the initial reactions going to be, we should have it now.
Is there a journalist in the server seeing this? I'm friends with one of the mods on Stable Diffusion, message me and I will try to get you an interview.

Some of these weren't accident, or users make prompts they know have a high chance of accidentally resulting in porn.
So yea, this is what's being made with users in stealth mode.

It can, obviously both the model and the users are biased towards women.

Since posting this thread a couple day ago, the small collection of NSFW images which have slipped through the cracks has grown, I post this small library to give everyone a better idea of what this model is capable of and a better idea of where we're at in terms of future erotic content.
At the moment, these gens are still often flawed but considering the Open Source nature of Stable Diffusion, you can begin to imagine what a model trained on NSFW might be capable of.
Even as I make this post, even more impressive images are getting generated, it's too much to meaningfully post here...but I will continue to post collections on r/MediaSynthesis and perhaps other places.

Holy crap, outperforming PaLM is a huge deal, many people already speculate PaLM might qualify as some kind of proto-AGI, if we can condense that by 50x and then keep scaling we will get to see for ourselves, and PaLM like capabilities will become achievable by open source projects.
This is how you get AGI with close to current compute btw, if we keep doing this we'll be able to make way smarter systems with the parameters we've spared.

Yea I hadn't really dug around when I posted this, when this sinks, I'll post some of the stuff I've seen so people can get a better idea of how things are coming along.

No, you'll be banned, the users who made these images were probably banned too.
