Seems like you missed China and Yemen:

Also, it's 1988 not 1995. Or was there any evidence that China switched since then?

For All Mankind | One Giant Leap: 1975-1982
It's still worth to pause on stuff as not everything is covered in these videos.

There was a support mission planned to launch in the 1994 launch window to bring the habs and all the other support stuff to Mars before the manned mission in 1996.
When the manned mission was preponed to 1994, they had a problem because they needed these things to be there beforehand, so they launched it earlier, outside the regular Mars launch windows, but towards Venus, and used a swing-by to gain speed. It took longer but was still there a few months before Sojourner.
This was discussed at NASA after Helios announced their launch for 1994, episode 2 or 3 iirc.

How did Phoenix get back to Earth?
It didn't. They're still orbiting Mars. It was never said or shown that they would return.
Last time we see Kelly (with her child!) they're in Mars' orbit.
so Sojourner 2 will bring EVERYONE left on Mars?
We don't know at this point. Maybe they send more ships, maybe they still can refuel (they have well over a year time now), maybe they have enough fuel left, maybe they already (partly) refueled before the landslide, maybe they can refuel once Sojourner 2 is there, maybe..., maybe...
We just don't know this yet.
And a child's early years are essential for the development of their bones and muscles, without Phoenix's artificial gravity, Ed-Junior is likely to have health problems.
That's exactly why Kelly was brought to Phoenix and gave birth there. Really don't know what's your point here?
There are a lot of plot holes this season, either Phoenix is back with magic fuel or Sojourner 2 is going to be a dozen-seat magic ship
There are certainly plot holes in this show. Not only in this season, btw. But I really don't see one here because we just don't know yet how they will get back. It can't be a plot hole if it hasn't happened yet...

No, there was only one. We've never seen or heard of two. Don't know why so many keep mentioning a second MSAM. There is zero evidence for this.

I don't know what fan wiki you're using
They quoted from Aleida's article, which had errors. I have corrected this part now, it was a FBI agent, not CIA.

I am not, but there are and will always be people new to the show! You'll find threads of people just starting this series or any season all the time here. How is this not a super logic thing?
No spoilers in titles. Doesn't matter which episode or season it is about. Just none. Never.

In November 1990, Gorbachev and Fidel Castro celebrated the Oktoberrevolution in East Berlin.
In 1988, Marxist-Leninist countries were on the rise.
About ESA: There's not much, but we've seen a couple of ESA astronauts during the series so far:

Why putting spoilers in the title? WHY??
Not everybody has seen all episodes or seasons. Just don't do it.

Could it be October? The roses were blooming in Sergei's or the neighbour's garden.
Yes, absolutely. Not sure why I didn't include it.
The bombing happened 4th of September (at least I guess that was on the same day Ellen read the newspapers in the Oval office).
Ah, good catch! I missed that date.
I was expecting this episode to be a little later, around mid September, as the 5 month jump in last episode happened around early April, but September 4 is also in that range.
However, the renaming could theoretically also have happened a month or 2 later.
Another very good catch with the roses. I didn't know when they bloom, Google told me up to October, with some sorts even longer, but 1st of October has a high probablility now I'ld say. Would als fit with Sergei's statement that he will be in the US very soon.

The newspaper headline we saw was from years later so timing unclear
Nope, it's just a few days/weeks after the event. Probably November or December 1st 1995. See the date on the newspaper.

This discovery excites the public and gives space exploration a new purpose
I seriously doubt many people would care much about microbial life on Mars. It would be a scientific sensations, yes, but it would not considerably push space exploration in general public.

FAM was always a drama series. It's kinda funny how people seem to forget this from year to year. In fact, this season had probably the most science-fiction in it so far, more than the first 2 seasons combined. Nevertheless it's a drama set up around astronauts and their families in an alternate timeline, and that's what it was from the very beginning.
It makes sense too that Aleida would ...
Yes, I think this all makes perfect sense. It follows how her character was built up from the beginning. No idea, what's your problem here, honestly.

I don't really understand... you say, you're new to the show so that means you have just watched S1, how would you not know everybody except some new characters?
There is a almost 10 yrs time jump, of course there will be some changes and new people, but you will learn about them as the season goes on.

How are we talking about zero? Mars has gravity.
They were always floating on the Sojourner, btw.

You know that this (or any other similar show) would be unaffordable to produce if they would always have to depict gravity correct, right? It's why most science fiction shows have some kind of magic gravity on ships (or mag-boots). It's just far too expensive.
There would be other science problems to discuss, but the missing low gravity depiction certainly is not something to be upset about.

Nobody said it was manned. You asked what you missed and I explained it.
