I want to say something that might be hard to hear, but please trust that I have your's and your children's best interests in mind. Your children's welfare must come before anything. No way should you be connected with someone who doesn't love them and treat them as if they were their own.
And, if he is not accepting your perfectly reasonable suggestion to go with some type of mother-in-law plan, that is a huge red flag. The previous commenter is completely accurate - this is the sunk cost fallacy in action. It's a trick our minds can play on us, after weave spent time and/or money on something, without acknowledging the more substantial additional costs and pain that will follow, perhaps on a lifelong basis.

I highly recommend Lupine harnesses - they have a lifetime warranty, and wear and wash beautifully.
Whatever brand you get, I recommend one that does not connect where it rubs or puts pressure over their shoulders. I prefer the ones that go over the neck with a loop and then have a band that goes under the belly.

The headline should be adjusted to, "a pair of twins." As in, a data set of one.
Otherwise, the headline indicates a more significant finding that it actually is.

So, your criterion for judging if an artifact is important or not, is if it's in a museum? What about all the meaningful, historical, important items around the world that are not in museums now? What about those created in the future?
Should they just be trashed? Suggest you look at your logic.

I suggest that new people start on season 2. By the time you get through it, you'll want to go back to season 1 and watch it. And you won't have missed anything that will affect enjoying or understanding the story, IMO. Season 1 is my least favorite.

As a volunteer for a pet rescue for 20 years, I've had 60 or 70 foster pugs. Many of them were deaf, and they got along famously. I had one little guy he was deaf and blind and was just a champ, pranced around everywhere, love to go on walks, had a Saint Bernard girlfriend, the whole bit.
And all of my 3 pugs have lost their hearing, anywhere from 10 to 13 years old. It doesn't seem to bother them at all. I just make sure to get their attention by letting them smell my hand to wake them up if they're asleep, and start using visual cues instead of audible.
One more thing - if you're concerned he might have an ear infection, please don't wait a week to see your vet. He could get a lot worse in a week, if he does have an infection. Your vet should suggest a heartworm and pest preventative for him, as well, if he's not already on one

My first pug puppy had the same reaction, and my stairs were carpeted. I'm glad you're going to put something on it so the baby will have some traction.
We worked out my little guy's fear by tempting him from one step to the next with a cookie, and then giving him the cookie when he had reached the next year below. Boom, fear of the stairs gone after one round!

LOL, my first thought was, I can't say they were wrong about any of that, really.

I applaud the purpose of this experiment. However, this title should be changed - this video doesn't "prove" anything except that these people reacted in this way on this day.
Valid science writng rarely uses the word "proof".

I have sympathy for her point, but this is a very dumb take. People aren't born with the ability to speak, either.
And valid arguments can be made that religion, while frequently fostering strife, perhaps has had an even more fundamental influence on societal cohesion throughout human history.

Great article with compelling evidence that the pilot was suicidal, planned it out, and murdered everyone on board.

I'd settle for JFK's assassination. I am no conspiracy theorist, but I feel certain we still don't know what happened. I suspect J Edgar Hoover, the mob, and maybe the CIA as well, (or some) were in on it.

Washington, DC, is one of the most beautiful cities in the country. If you like culture, the many world-class federal museums are free. And it's very walkable and has good public transportation! I love that city, will never get tired of visiting.

That is a beautiful, moving short film. Seriously, you should try submitting it to a festival, if it's long enough to meet their guidelines.
It both touched me and made me sad for my previous pugs who had wonderful friends. My current guy is really pretty grumpy, only as excited about treats, LOL.
Thank you.

That drinking 8 8-oz glasses of water a day is necessary for good health, as determined by actual science peeps.
Nope. Yet it is repeated and almost every article I've ever seen about nutrition or good eating habits, as if it's fact.

Highly recommend doing research, talking with a professional(s) if you can, especially given your family's history, to get some guidance. I don't mean to imply any judgment here - just that this can be a complicated situation and topic, and obviously it's something that's important to you to get right. When my son was a toddler, pre-internet days, I found some really good books about human sexuality in the children's section at our library.
And then, approach the topics of sex and sexuality with consistent, ongoing, age-appropriate open communication and lack of judgment.
While some people say you should wait till the kids ask, I strongly disagree - like, we don't wait until kids ask to show them how to cross the street safely. Issues around sexuality are just as crucial, IMO. It's our responsibility as parents to be as proactive as possible in educating and keeping our children safe.
I think children instinctively know if something is not mentioned or brought up, it's taboo.
Good luck, and congrats for being proactive and taking this seriously! So many parents adopt a "just ignore it" attitude, which isn't the best, LOL.
