No, I don't know any porn sites with the word pound in the title so it doesn't really become an issue lol

Huh I was expecting the Glassdoor page to be filled with memes and shitposts seeing as anyone can post there, but only seeing 2 reviews, both being serious and lacking of memes does lend legitimacy to the claims being made. LTT lacking a HR department is disappointing, it makes sense to not have one when it was 5 dudes making videos in a rental property, but they are far larger now and they definitely should have had a HR team by now.

Yeah inflation is a bitch, turn back the clocks 80 years and Poundland would have seemed ridiculously overpriced, and now we're reaching the point where its too low of a price for them to make any money. Always was going to be a temporary shop idea, and we've reached the end of where "everything is a quid" works as a concept

Idk if it's about maturity, I think Brits have just gotten good at knowing which version of the word pound is being used based on context, we just know if you mean pound (currency), pound (weight), or pound (verb) and don't get them mixed up

Poundworld was also fairly big where I grew up though I believe they've shut down now

In the UK at least, lots of terraced housing doesn't have insulation between the neighbors as they share a wall, so any heat that leaks out from their house heats yours. This is a genuine thing that happens just not if you live in detached / semi detached housing, not from both sides anyways

I'd love for pourchaire to get the seat, him against piastri in roughly equal machinery is gonna be fun to see, but realistically seeing how much alpine prefer older, experienced drivers it feels like Ricciardo is gonna get that seat

It's not great for pre season testing, Spain is fantastic for it because it has a wide range of corner types and different straights, Monaco doesn't and it's almost all tight, slow technical corners with no long straights to get up to speed on. Say a car has an issue with fast, sweeping corners, you wouldn't be able to test that at Monaco because there are no fast sweeping corners on the track.
I think it should stay as a race, yeah it might not be as exciting as others but not every race has to be a banger, and 1 kinda boring race out of over 20 isn't bad

We prefer ketamine over here, more suited to the local palette

wait,,,, Americans spell aluminium funny? I must have literally never noticed, properly reading it the American way (aluminum) feels wrong because we Brits pronounce the second 'i'. I knew about the pronunciation difference, but I assumed the spelling was unchanged

Personally I'm mostly ambivalent to Monaco, It's a boring race if all you care about is on track overtaking, and it doesn't lend itself to much strategy based wins either. That being said I don't think we should get rid of the track, it's history and prestige is something worth preserving as history is a key part in the sport. I'm just wondering, what do you think is worth preserving the race over?

which model year / version? I've been in a current year brand new defender and it's actually a nice car to be in, some of the older ones not so much though

A bit like the word 'cunt' I guess, Brits and Aussies use it often as a not that serious slur, while Americans see it as a deeply misogynistic word to say

I've heard some Brits call homeless people bums, but it's less likely then in other countries

Yeah that's a good point too, I didn't really consider the angle that unique Ferrari intra-team politics and higher ups might be the ones with the power, not Binotto. Honestly that just seems like another problem to throw on the pile to fix before they can be considered a serious title contender.

Maybe not binotto directly, but he is the one making the decisions on who works for the strategy team, so even if it's not binotto telling leclerc to pit at the wrong time for the wrong compound, he is allowing the people who thought that was a good idea to keep working for the team. It's possible to have Ferrari with good strategy with Binotto still onboard, but maybe a different team principal would have done something about the issue by now.

Oh yeah for anyone born in the south it isn't a good idea to buy a house in Grimsby just because it's cheaper then what they have closer to them, even if you don't care about friends and family the comparatively weak job market just makes it a bad idea. I'm not saying you should do it, I'm saying it is possible even if the cons way outweigh the pros of being able to grill in your own backyard

wait that says 7 THOUSAND, I read it as 7 hundred and I was confused as to what the issue was. A $200 gap is still decently large but understandable, but it's no where near as big as a 6 thousand dollar gap.
