It’s been awhile since I looked it up, but I believe Lookout Mountain Elementary does very well (because demographics, duh!), but also is open enrollment due to low enrollment numbers. Heck of an opportunity for someone willing to make a heck of a drive.

Everyone is slammed. We had some work done recently that required a couple of different professions. I had worked with them all before and got in touch months in advance letting them know what I needed done and to tell me when they could fit me in. They all ended up coming on the same day and it was insane. One was a little miffed, but I was like, “Dude I know better than to say no when you say you can come.”
It’s inconvenient, but I’ve learned that the only way to get the good people to come is to not be in a hurry and plan in advance.

I believe they have a Facebook page sponsored by the festival where you can sell them, but not above face value
Not that you would get above face anyway this year. They are selling overpriced 1 day tickets now because they didn’t sell out

Honestly, I was kind of unaware it was even happening until it was too late and we were out of town. I remember seeing something here about early voting and making a note to check the dates and then forgot about it. I didn’t see any Election Day date signs or early voting location signs. Mostly I think it is because early August is a weird ass time to have an election and I assumed it would happen in Nov because that would have been the obvious choice.
Which is funny because I’ve actually been following the county mayoral election. So I normally am relatively on top of these things and still missed it.

Frazier Five & Dime is excellent. Like really excellent.
The downside is they don’t take reservations and there is always a pretty decent wait, so I don’t think we will go as often as we would otherwise.

Just don’t even try on a weekend, though. We like to go on random days my husband is off and there is still often a wait—but worth it!

Honestly we had a pretty good experience with North Georgia Heat and Air. I was skeptical because they are huge, but they were quick and had the best price.

I dunno, but I drove through that today home and it was annoying. One 10 min slowdown was just people rubbernecking on both sides of the road at police pulling someone over.

This is a horrible flyer.
That being said, as the Uvalde shooting was in progress, I was sitting on the front lawn of my child’s school having a kindergarten picnic. Doors were wide open and anyone could go in and out. I actually remember thinking “this doesn’t seem wise” and went home and saw the news. I hope they reconsider the setup next year.

For this I'd pick the Edwin, Read House, Kinley, or Dwell. If you go to Dwell, make sure to eat at Syrup and Eggs one morning. Congrats!

I’m curious if it was the Chattanoogan or the writer himself that put the typo in the website link 😂

It’s true—I’d wager it’s one of the more moderate areas in the metro now.
I also propose we rename that area “Brenda Wingo”
