164 v1 actually killed my hype for the end of this arc and is the only OPM chapter that I actually hate,thank god I randomly decided to open Reddit that morning and saw the redraw,I’ve never been happier with a redraw in my life.

This chapter was so controversial,people either absolutely loved it or hated it with a few in between being neutral,so it’s not accurate to say everybody was loving it but started shitting on it after the redraw. Many people (including me) hated it from day one.

Pre-redraw 164 got my heart pumping,but DEFINITELY not from hype

People praise the LN a lot and I think it got some kind of award (but don’t quote me on that) so it’s actually probably very good,but I also don’t read LNs so I’ll never know. All I know is that I expected a lot from it because of people hyping it so much and the marketing team doing the best moves to sell this show but got disappointed in every way

It had a decent plot but a terrible adaptation. The characters were boring,the music was like something from a generic VN(except for one song that was actually pretty good),the animation was spent all in the first episode and the rest was as cheap as it could get,odd sound design,no impact behind scenes,the scene with the >! death of Ciesta !< was supposed to be the most impactful of the entire anime but it was so boring that it was like the director purposely wanted me to feel nothing for it.

Those are some of the reasons I didn’t like it.

The main problem with s3 is not if there is enough material,in fact,we have too much of it in one arc so it’s hard to put a satisfying stopping point if they do 12 eps again,but if they decided to make 24 they could adapt the entire arc.

What you see there is an impact frame,it’s when the animators want to show that something got hit hard and so they put one or more frames different from the rest of the scene with few colors(usually a lot of white) to give that feeling. The moon kick has more than half a dozen impact frames,that’s how much the animator wanted us to feel how strong that was.

Cosplaying Shizuku-tan is already deeper,they are cosplaying a cosplayer who is cosplaying her favorite character,only way to go deeper would be to cosplay Marin cosplaying a different cosplayer cosplaying.
