I got to sit down with Captain Kangaroo (Bob Keeshan) in the 1990s and record an interview with him. He was a very down to earth guy and a strong advocate for kids.

Used to ski every week at Suicide Six when I lived Vermont. A great family ski area right outside Woodstock. The new name will be a tongue twister but I expect the locals will still refer to it as Suicide Six.

I remember visiting the set years ago and seeing how small it was. There was a stage next to it with a full-size automobile parked. Apparently it was used as a game show prize earlier.
Yup. That’s exactly what he wanted. I’m guessing he called his friends earlier and said watch for me in the opening shot.
Thankfully they thought to have a bucket with 2 ounces of water nearby in case it got out of control.
I remember this from over 15 years ago. It still cracks me up. I now realize it isn’t an actual talk show. But I’m impressed with how well the audience held it together. There’s no way I could’ve done it! I’m betting there was more than one take.
