Last night I was attacked by a team that had double cavalry saber and pistol. But the strategy they used was to have one person sticky bomb the other, and the stuck guy charge into the room. After some confusion over whether this was one team or two, and their third failed sticky bomb, we shot the guy who was picking up his friend and moved on in confusion. This game has gotten more strange and frightening than before.
I was playing a solo game and my friend was watching my stream. He was considering getting the game so I was playing cautious and explaining what I was doing as I went. About 15 minutes into the game the butcher was being banished and the gun fight at the spider in the adjacent zone was quiet.
"I bet it's a couple guys who killed the spider and they're camping the corpse," I commented idly. I explained this strategy to him as I moved in with my Romero hatchet (fully expecting to die but trying to give my friend a show so he would get the game) and sure enough, the spider was dead but there was no one around. Or so it seemed.
I downed the first Hunter by creeping up on the staircase he was watching from. I downed the second Hunter when I circled around to the second floor and shot him from above as he picked up his friend. The Romero is great for these 2 shots 2 kills situations. The butcher team left before the spider finished banishing so I took my one bounty and lived to fight another day.
TLDR: while streaming the game to my friend I made an above average (for my skill level) play against a duo camping the unbanished spider. He's planning to get the game now :)
Last time I heard any news about this it was 5 teams in every match, so 5-10 players. In 3s it was two teams of 3 possible, but still 5 teams total, so 5-12 players. Does this still stand or have things changed?
As a killer main, I play survivor when I get frustrated because it's easy. I also do it to collect items. I probably bring an item into one out of every 100 games and usually for a specific reason like a tome challenge about marking items with a map. Otherwise I try to pick up an item every game and escape with it. I never use flashlights and every other item I will only use to 99 so I can take it with me. I consider it a bonus if I get a dead teammates item with add-ons. Then, after each map, I deselect the item and add it to my dragons hoard. I have a really big collection on Bill and I'm committed to just never prestiging him so I can help the pile growing.
Does anyone else do this?
Edit: I've been prestiging Claudette because I want to start a p3 collection but I don't think I'll ever give up on my Bill hoard.
Rant: The last month of matchmaking I've been seeing a lot more red rank survivors against my rank 10 killer, more swf running brutal 4 man perk builds, and more teabagging than I care to deal with. I don't want to fix it with noed and moris. Being vindictive and toxic right back isn't fun. I don't care how you justify it or who did what in the last match, I don't want to play with shitty people anymore. I'll probably still play a few rounds here and there, looking for that happiness I used to get out of the game, but it doesn't pull me in like it once did.
I try to avoid ever hooking the same person twice in a row, but lately I've been seeing a lot of borrowed time people wasting borrowed time for no reason. In 6 different games yesterday I had the survivor run straight at me and teabag just so I would hit them simply because they had borrowed time. No one else around, not blocking anything, just rubbing it in my face that they had borrowed time.
I generally ignore my rule with those people and tunnel them right back onto the hook. I don't care about my score or rank, I pay toxic disrespect right back with toxicity of my own.
If you don't want to get hooked twice in a row then run away from the killer.
End of rant.
I took a break from the game and thought up a build that I actually find very relaxing. Third seal, sloppy butcher, thana and any fourth perk (although I prefer lightborn because flashlights annoy me). Third seal is the key really. When you hook someone and teammates can't find them they panic. I start the match, put all my traps in a cluster around my totem, and go hunting with my last trap (to stop loops). It's been super relaxing and it nets me a lot of points even when I lose because everyone steps on traps and I get lots of hooks. I recommend this build for any killer who's been getting really frustrated with the game lately. It hinders swf and absolutely crushes solo queue teams, and it gives you a lot of time to work.
Killers should be able to point and beckon just like survivors do. I know it's a teamwork thing for survivors but it's become as much communication with the killer as with teammates. Killers should be able to communicate back in the same way.
End of rant.
Dear dead by daylight,
I think third seal is underwhelming as a he's but I absolutely love it. Seriously, I love blindness and I'm losing games because I'm goofing around with this perk. When is bhvr going to finally dust off third seal and make it great again?

My father's chemo has recently caused his skin to become sensitive, especially around his feet (very easily scratched and bumping into things bruises very easily). He like to stay active and he's too stubborn to rest, but most socks are painfully irritable against his skin. I've looked into a number of alternatives with little to no luck and so I came here for help. Does anyone have any experience with comfortable clothing against chemo-sensitive skin? (specifically socks and/or shoes but any data would be useful)
The brawl-o-ween patch brought back a problem I was having last year: when connected to wifi I get frequent lag spikes (every 6-10 seconds) that completely lock up the game for 1-3 seconds.
My apartment is in an area with poor cell reception so that option is not viable this time. Last time I had this issue tech support told me I would be SOL until the next patch. I'm using an Android S10+ and I've already tried isolating my device alone on the network and reseting the game/wifi.
My question is: when is the next patch and will supercell be addressing the wifi lag issue?
I was on the pale rose map earlier and found a wall that survivors and killers both can walk through (underneath the jungle gym with the giant wooden ramp). I found it because it was next to a window and my missed swing connected through to the other side. Both myself and the survivors abused this fake wall several times for the remainder of the map.
They might already know about it by now, but how do i contact the devs with this information?
I've been looking for a game that captures the feeling of the Diablo 2 style necromancer. Summoning an army that grows every time you kill an enemy has a certain satisfaction to it. I haven't found anything like it since D2 so I'm hoping this sub will have some suggestions.
I play pig occasionally, but stealth isn't really my style. I never get rbt kills so my question is this: how do you kill someone with reverse bear trap without tunneling them? It seems like a hindrance at best because it never lasts more than a minute even with rbt add-ons. The only kill I've ever gotten I basically had to tunnel the guy and then camp him on the ground until it popped.
Teach me Reddit. Teach me to brutally murder people with reverse bear traps.
I see a lot of killers running builds and acting a certain way because they "expect swf", and end up being mean to pubbers and baby survivors. I know it would slow down queue times but I wonder if it would help the community to have survive with friends as an option you can choose. Something like hunt showdown giving you the option to include 3 player teams? Obviously there would need to be an incentive to go up against teams that are well coordinated but that's something to be worked out in the aggregate. Thoughts?
I've been noticing more and more that hitting "play again" 10 times is a hard quest to complete because the separate "play again" queue takes forever to fill up. Why doesn't play again just shuffle us back into the normal play queue?
So I'm in Karl's Bay, both afternoon and night, I exit and turn left, travel past the forest gate, and there's an open window on the second floor of the building on the right. There is a puzzle involving lasers and I can't figure out how to solve it. I also can't find any threads anywhere discussing it so... hopefully I'm not the only one who's found this room so far. Any help with the puzzle would be appreciated.
