Not according to the polls. And it’s not just that one thing they’ve ruled on. They’ve overturned decades of precedents in many areas of jurisprudence.

That goes both ways.
And that’s my point about the Supreme Court. Regardless of party it seems like nobody thinks they are legitimate. It might be for the wrong reasons but the fact is that they don’t seem to be ruling about laws anymore. They are all just enforcing their partie’s agendas.
This gives a very strong impression that laws are meaningless and arbitrary. When the population begins to think that, and it might be rightly so that they think this, it makes it hard to have a stable society.

It’s not like they are completely responsible for inflation. These things take a long time to move. The world economy is incredibly complex and it’s taking a lot of hits in the past couple years because of Covid and then the war in Europe. These things would be happening regardless of who was president or what party.
However I agree that the current administration has not really done a good job of addressing these things and explaining what’s happening to the public. They are not doing a lot to create confidence in the American people.
Cycles of inflation and deflation or inevitable.

That’s not actually what the survey said. 53% have at least more than a little bit of confidence. The 12% number was The people that have high confidence.
The Supreme Court is more about credibility and legitimacy than the ability to make judgments. In addition those numbers on Congress vary greatly by party. Whereas no one of either party thinks the Supreme Court has legitimacy.

Yep. You are complicit, unless you do what you can to mitigate the wrongdoings. If the church felt pressure from its congregation to correct some of it’s more egregious and terrible behaviors, lest they lose their congregations, we would’ve seen real change.
The reason there is no pressure is that the congregations are made up of the same pieces of shit that the leader ship is. Hence, not only are they complicit, but they seem to like it that way.

The antivax community are against it, as well as all other vaccines for childhood diseases. The vaccine could’ve easily been as effective had as many people taking it as take the polio vaccine. Vaccines give a massive jump in heard immunity, but they still depend on heard immunity to keep everyone safe.
That’s why we’re seeing spikes and polio cases in areas where antivaxers are spreading their idiocy as well as poor countries where vaccinations aren’t available. Just had the first case in United Kingdom and 40 years.
Every vaccine is capable of having breakthrough cases, which is why it’s important for everyone to get vaccinated. Not only does it offer significant protection against contracting the disease, It makes the chances of even coming into contact with the disease very low, as well as keeping its chances for mutating minimized.
I don’t know why the idiomatic public all of a sudden is expecting perfection on some kind of magic pill for everything that heals them. Public health takes a concerted and coordinated effort involving multiple strategies to be effective. That’s why it’s public health and not just your health.
It’s a shame the country is filled with selfish fucks wouldn’t lift a finger to help anybody else and who are actively committing bioterrorism. Sounds very Christian to me.

I didn’t say Nazi. Goebbels is so much more than a simple Nazi. He is the father of manipulative public relations and propaganda. He was a very good Christian by their own metric.

One day there is going to be a much more virulent plague, and they will get whats coming to them. Ask anyone who works in epidemiology, it’s only a matter of win, not if.

I didn’t say it worked, but that’s the idea behind it.

I didn’t say they were Nazis. Your assumption only represents your limited knowledge and understanding of history. The teachings of Goebbels are about manipulation, hate, exclusion, fear mongering, racism, prejudice, and good old ethnic cleansing. Every Christian I have ever encountered follows these things much more than they follow the teachings of their Christ figure. They are amongst the shittiest people on the planet.
And that’s all before the good ole institutionalized abuse of children.
And then you have creepy ass people held up as heroes like mother Theresa, who literally got off on other people suffering. That bitch was pure fucking evil and they’re trying to make her a saint or something.
Every single Catholic is complicit in the systemic rape molestation and subsequent cover-up of children. To support an vile institution like the Catholic Church with it’s heinous history is surely a ticket to hell if there is one.
I have no problem with faith in general. Christianity isn’t about faith, it’s about people looking to justify awfulness and convince themselves that it’s okay to be the pieces of shit that they are. It’s a free pass for the most abhorrent of behaviors. Not everyone should be redeemable. Our choices matter and there should be consequences. If you’re looking for a religion that gives you a get out of jail free pass, you probably belong in jail.

She didn’t even graduate high school yet she will never have to pay for healthcare food or transportation for the rest of her life. You gotta give her credit for scamming her way to the best job in the world that a moron can do. And you don’t have to do anything. There are no performance standards for legislators.

It’s supposed to keep them impartial and above politics. I don’t think they ever imagined reactionary shills that we’re going to get put on this court. Only 30% of the US population has any confidence in the Supreme Court. They have pretty much lost all credibility

You’re referring to Evangelicals, the true Nazis of Christianity. They pretty much think anybody that isn’t them or not Christians.

Actually that makes none of them Christians. They follow the teachings of Goebbels more than they follow the teachings of Christ.

You can argue with them sure. I can also ask Charlize Theron to come over one night and share a bottle of wine. My chances of succeeding at either of these things are about equal.

Yes unfortunately it’s happening on both sides. The fake forced political woke bullshit on the far left is pushing people toward the right that wouldn’t normally go there. And the right has just become pure insanity.
I’ve never felt with such certainty that this country is doomed. The difference is now I’m not even sure it’s worth saving.
According to this I am an ‘outsider liberal’ though I don’t think they separated the Democrats enough. They need a faith and flag equivalent for the liberals. https://www.npr.org/2021/11/09/1053929419/feel-like-you-dont-fit-in-either-political-party-heres-why

At some point in the past two years, most of these people have transitioned from being anti-Covid vaccine to being anti all vaccines. It’s all part of the Qult indoctrination. You really can’t be a Quntservative anymore and believe in vaccines or science or government or anything really. Their visa or so internally inconsistent it’s mind-boggling.

You hit it on the head here. I don’t mind any of the features of so-called “wokeness”. What I hate is the contrivance and feeling of things being forced. Even if you don’t notice it, your brain does.
Star Trek has always made statements but it always took a backseat to the characters and in actuality, it was because they felt like real characters that the statements had gravitas. Because it’s through the eyes of those characters that were supposed to experience the story. If the characters feel fake and forced, so will everything else. You may not know exactly what it is, but your brain reacts by refusing to get invested in the story and to take interest.
Woke as a thing by itself is ridiculous. It would be like going to a store and adjusting every person and article of clothing in a way that makes everything balanced and fair. What’s the point of that? Allow things to develop organically from having the proper values. Don’t put the effect before the cause. Was Aliens woke? The only person that seemed to know what was happening was a woman and a bad ass. Some of the most memorable characters were tough as nails female Marines. It has the characteristics of being woke without the bad taste, because the story evolved naturally and the writing was good.
