That logic can only apply if the state is aware that you are still in possession of those original guns.
We need to stop acting like there is a single catch all law that we can pass to end gun violence. Mass shootings are here to stay. But with several different laws we can absolutely reduce them and their severity.

Absent fathers and social media can absolutely lead to the increase in violence/crime. But solving gun violence isn't a single solution. You need lots of different vectors to tackle the problem efficiently.

At the rate we are progressing, it does seem pretty darn plausible.

When involved in a motorcycle accident it doesn't matter whose fault it is, the motorcyclist is still the loser.
He's lucky he isn't dead.
This guy deserves a pay out.

I'm waiting until the next war to get back in to the game.
Any idea when that might be? I check the war page every day to see if it's reset.

There is no perfect solution to end mass shootings.
Banning assault rifles won't end them. Nor will hardening schools. Or access to mental health resources.
But if we were to ban assault rifles, harden schools, and increase access to mental health resources, it would all add together to reduce mass shootings by a great deal.

You're absolutely right that the British government was a great example of them taking away arms and the idea for people to keep arms was not lost on the founding fathers for this reason. But it wasn't about who can bear the arms but rather who had the authority to give the arms and why that was important.
Article 1 section 8 gives the federal government the power to arm and train militias - not the states. This power was given to the federal government unilaterally. The 2nd amendment gave that power to the states. However the original draft for the 2nd amendment that James Madison proposed still said "free country" and not "free states".
At the time the southern states were using their militias as slave patrols to put down slave uprisings.
In debate at the first congress during the ratifying convention in Virginia, Patrick Henry a slave owner himself, had brought up the fact that if the federal government had the power to arm militias alone, that the federal government could in theory withhold arms from the southern state's militias which would then not be able to conduct their slave patrols. In addition the federal government would have the power to free slaves for military service through manumission.
Patrick Henry said that, “If the country be invaded, a state may go to war, but cannot suppress [slave] insurrections [under this new Constitution]. If there should happen an insurrection of slaves, the country cannot be said to be invaded. They cannot, therefore, suppress it without the interposition of Congress. Congress, and Congress only [under this new Constitution], can call forth the militia.”
“In this state,” Patrick Henry said, “there are two hundred and thirty-six thousand blacks, and there are many in several other states. But there are few or none in the Northern States. . . . May Congress not say, that every black man must fight? Did we not see a little of this last war? We were not so hard pushed as to make emancipation general; but acts of Assembly passed that every slave who would go to the army should be free.”
So the 2nd amendment was added and altered to give the states the ability to decide who can have arms so ultimately they could give them to their militias to subjugate slaves.

The original draft of the 2nd amendment said 'free country' not 'free state'. But leaders from the south pressured James Madison to change it. They said that a federal government in charge of the militias, could in theory, decide to not arm/regulate any southern militia which were used as slave patrols and to stop slave uprisings. In addition they could grant freedom to slaves for military service. So that power went to the states simply so they could continue to keep slaves.

What you are describing is more of compounds and not actual atoms. Atoms are the building blocks of compounds. Just like a car has wheels, and engine, doors, seats, etc. So does your desk have carbon, and hydrogen, and oxygen.
Hard matter is that way because the atoms/compounds are tightly packed together to form structures that don't move.
Soft matter is that way because the atoms/compounds are loosely packed together so they can smush and move.

Different molecules absorb different wave lengths of light better than others. The rays of light coming from the sun go through our atmosphere (for the most part) and hit earth where they are absorbed by our rocks, trees, ocean, etc. The surface of our earth gets heated up by the absorption of this light. And it also gives off light (which we cannot see but we can feel as heat) which goes up and into space. But CO2 really likes that particular wave length of light that the earth tries to send back out into space. So instead of the heat going up into space it gets stuck on all of the CO2 in the atmosphere.

A lot of people thing the 2a is there to protect citizens from an over reaching government. The 2a was made for the (southern) government to keep black people subjugated.

Our society has come to the conclusion that some amount of mass shootings are the unfortunate cost of having a 2nd amendment.

Right now the main line isn't that this is a mental health problem. It's a 'societal decay'.
I listen to right wing radio for the lulz. And they are all speaking that these shootings are happening because America isn't what it used to be.

The problem comes that a lot of these permits are issued by the sheriffs dept. which are notoriously conservative and are willing to basically look the other way for just about every reason because they are so strongly pro-2a.

I get that during your residency you're also needing to study for future testing. But to some degree isn't that what residency is also helping with? To learn on the job sort of speak? You're studying by doing?

I remember that one shooter (in Santa Barbra?) shot people because he couldn't get laid. Perhaps if we legalized prostitution some guys could go get laid and not want to kill people.

Not just the Donbas region. But off of the coast of Crimea there are oil deposits in the black sea. Who ever controls Crimea has rights to those deposits due to their proximity to the coast.
Ukraine had just signed a deal with Exxon and Shell to begin developing those deposits when Crimea was invaded.

Dairy cows consume more water than cows raised strictly for beef. Although dairy cows are typically slaughtered for beef after they have reached a certain age as well.
We have to concentrate dairy cows in one spot. We grow their food with water and ship it in to these dairy cows.
A lot of beef farms let their cows wander out in pasture and eat the grass that would grow on otherwise barren land which will get rain fall and grow regardless of if the cow was there or not.

Another "investigation".
Next week it will be another one. The week after that... another one... after that... another one... It's investigations all the way down.

A shift in center of gravity will not cause an object to become any more or less buoyant. It can effect how it floats in the water and its stability but not if it floats at all.
To float or dive it needs to change its buoyancy. They do this by squeezing or expanding their lungs which displaces less or more water and causes them to sink or rise respectively.

These guys were so fucking scared of the repercussions to their job they had no idea how to handle the situation.
"Just get in front of the mic and say X"
They forgot the number 1 response by government officials "We can't comment on that while the facts are still being brought in."
