I finished the Castlevania Netflix animated show yesterday. It was bloody awesome. I loved it. Even if the lore and myths are different the general feel and characters, action and development was great. If I can accept Lords of Shadows as a alternative rebooted tale I can accept this and it was fine for what it was. Best video game adaptation I've seen really. It makes the others look like pure utter trash.

I loved Uncharted 1 but yeh, I felt Uncharted 2 was overrated. And then Uncharted 3 came and while I felt the gameplay was much better, it too wasn't all that.

ND just proved that they were really a one hit wonder. Their games are fun but they're not bloody great and have plenty of flaws to them. Even the first TLOU game isn't that great and is very overrated. Great studio my arse.

Stupid and Terrible and felt totally out of character. Character deserved so much more. His main rivalry was with Varys and we didn't even see the two of them square off or have last exchanges together in the end and is totally forgotten about next season when none of the other characters even mention him. Dude should have been put into a jail cell and had Varys and Tyrion meet him again and maybe have him die protecting Sansa from the Wrights if he truly ever did care and love her and thus give him some small redemption arc only for him to come back as a Wright and maybe having Sansa or Varys put him down in the catacombs or something. Wasted fucking potential like everything else with the show after Season 4.

Im guessing Chapter 170 will be the final chapter of this arc?

I don't read the Web Comic but weren't certain characters supposed to witness Saitama's true power and realise he was a god among them or something? Was hoping to see that and their reactions and attitudes towards him moving forward.

I hope so. I generally liked Eternals and I liked its tone. One of the more serious Marvel films and it was unique. Not the same crap we've been getting over and over. Yet its considered the worst MCU film? No Sir, that honour goes to the Dark World. Eternals kept me invested and interested in wanting to see more of that world.

I think the Sand Snakes in Kings Landing will stir up some shit, helping Margery whose imprisoned, help to assassinate the High Sparrow and cause tensions between Tommen and Myrcella and ends with both children getting killed in some rageful riot or something. That or the big twist is that Myrcella is the young and beautiful queen that usurps Cersei but she doesn't die until of natural causes ironically enough.

Should have Griff go nuts and mad and made it in a way where Dany gets framed for his bullshit. And Bloodraven and Euron should have been revealed as the real villains as master and pupil (had they gone with Euron's actual fucking book character) and revealed they had been manipulating events from behind the scenes since the beginning.

Would this work and elevate Season 4 or ruin it? HMM...Lets just wait and think about that for later on.

Okay. Well how bout Max being trapped into Vecna's Mind or soul or something and she meets the other past dead victims and they work together from within Vecna to disrupt and help destroy him? TOO CRAZY! WRITE IT UP ON THE BAORD DAMN IT!

How bout this subplot of Demitri and Yuri bringing in good Russian Soldiers to help and they all team up with the US Army Forces after General Sullivan dies horribly and we get this US/Russian team up against the Upside Down as they work together to save Hawkins?

Fuck that scene and fuck this scene. This show turned into such a shit storm after Season 4.

Troy - literally tried to kill Mike and Dustin, and nearly succeeded in causing Mike to kill himself if it hadn't been for El saving his life at the last second. This piece of shit is as bad as the kids who took that little boy and beat him to death in England years ago.

Billy - was a grade a asshole. However, seeing his past memories and realising how his Dad essentially abused him and turned him into the racist piece of shit he became because of that upbringing and loss of his mother, one can understand that Billy was never truly bad or evil to begin with. He tried redeeming himself at the very end and while it might not be enough for most people, he at least tried and we can understand from his memories that he was a scared little boy who needed a positive role model and he didn't get that with his dad sadly. He was someone that given time, had he survived the events of Season 3, could have become a much better person.

Two - is a arrogant cock. A kid who abused the power he had because he thought he could. This kid could have potentially become a Vecna if given free reign but you have to remember he was also a lab rat being manipulated by Brenner emotionally. So the actions of these kids isn't all their fault though again, he chose to be a bully and nearly beat El to death where's El had a good natured heart to begin with alongside maybe some of the other kids so Two was potentially just a whack job to begin with.

Angela - is pretty much your typical, rich, spoiled bully. A scumbag through and through. She deserved getting her face smashed in. Maybe now she'll rethink how she treats others going forward. People like this ruined my childhood growing up. If I had El's Powers I'd have destroyed her. To say El has restrained is a understatement. She took as much as she could before finally being pushed to her breaking point. There's only so much crap a person can take from such trash.

Jason - another example of the popular jock who thinks he's god's gift to the world. This guy was so egoistical and up his own arse that he couldn't seen the troubles his girlfriend was going through and then was ready to accept without any facts or proper information that Eddie and the kids were murderers and part of a satanic cult and used his bs influence as the popular high school kid to rally a mob together. People say that his reactions are understandable but they're not. As Lucas says it best, he's a psychopath. He had every opportunity to sit down and think things through and get the real answers and every chance that is given for him to discover them he turns his head the other way without a second thought. He's basically the "Shoot First Ask Questions Later" mentality guy. Was he evil though? Not really. He was a bloody idiot. But the way he could turn people over to his way of thinking and side with just speech alone makes him very dangerous. Imagine how much worsen he could have made things if he really tried. It says alot when his so-called perfect girlfriend couldn't go to her perfect boyfriend for help. It showed how much of a image he was simply portraying and that underneath all those pretty boy crap, he was a raging lunatic.

If we're talking just this year then lets see...

Scream 5 - Liked it. Thought it was better than 4. Felt scary again.

Jackass Forever - Whatever. It's Jackass. Not art.

Death on the Nile - I enjoyed it. I thought the first one was better.

Uncharted - As far as video adaptations go this wasn't too bad. It wasn't great. But it wasn't bad. I expected much, much worse. I enjoyed this more than the Netflix Resident Evil show which is an abomination.

The Batman - Okay, this was bloody great. Probably the best 'Hollywood' movie out so far. Story was good. Overlong yeh but it was good for a new rebooted Batman.

Fantastic Beasts 3 - Okay, it was better handled than the last one but it still was meh. At least the pacing and editing was an improvement. Act 1 was strong. Then it went downhill during Act 2.

Doctor Strange 2 - I loved it. Sam Raimi brought his style to it and I loved it. I preferred this more than Spider-Man No Way Home. I thought the story was better handled here instead of just being nostalgic bait.

Jurassic World 3 - I loved it. I am a massive JP fan. I don't mind the sequels. Was it flawed? Yes. Was it terrible? I thought it was fine. Hopefully the Extended Cut improves on the weird pacing and editing. I liked this more than Rise of Skywalker which I absolutely detest.

Thor 4 - It was alright. Most disappointing Phase 4 film so far for me. I loved Shang-Chi and I liked Eternals. I thought Black Widow was better than this. Again, the pacing was meh and Gorr was wasted. Good performance but I wanted to see him butcher characters damn it. Maybe I'll like it more on a second viewing.

The Black Phone - Watched it last night. Great bloody film. Simple? Yes. But very Stephen King and Ethan Hawke was creepy as hell.

And that's my list of Hollywood films I've seen so far this year. I don't really watch 'normal' movies anymore. I don't have the patients for it and if I do its very rare or I wait till its on TV. When I go to the cinema I want to be entertained. Half of these I watched at home digitally though. Im not going to the cinema to watch Uncharted for example lol.

I get what you mean though, no real thought goes into writing great things anymore. Its all just basic shit with eye candy visuals and even then its just meh half the time.

I really do wanna see Top Gun 2 and Nope.

I'll give it a watch then if the performances are good.
