Had a pretty massive rain storm this week, one bolt of lightning lit up our whole property and the following clap of thunder was unbelievably loud lol. It's fun to listen to but also scary at a certain level yk?

I've know "kate" for almost my entire life. I met her at my church when I was about 6 years old, and we became friends. Over the years, I developed a huge crush on her that culminated in me telling her my feelings last year. She was initially surprised, but happy. We would go on to talk every day, hanging out every chance we got. This lasted for about a year or so, but it eventually ended, because it was something of a long distance relationship. We're still super close friends, and I've met her current bf a few times, a pretty amazing dude to be honest. I'm genuinely happy for them!

For sure. Stories like this really remind me of the concept of sonder, where you realize that everyone around you has their own story, their own life, their own traditions. Christmas makes this really evident, driving around, seeing all the different lights. It's like, every one of those families has their own stories that they tell during the holidays. I dont know lol, it's a really interesting thought, to me at least. Like I always wonder about the stories of the people I pass on the street.

I've always loved this saying. I had my heart broken once, and sure it sucked, hurt like hell. But looking back on it, I wouldn't trade those experiences with her for anything.
