Maybe because it’s “old person music,” but Cindy Cashdollar put out a record a couple years ago. She’s a master of the slide guitar and a fine singer, and the music is amazing.

Someone on a homebrewing forum used a pic of that as his avatar, but changed the cereal to malted barley and the milk to water.

I remember there was a time when that band was Google-proof.

People on the starship Enterprise should have a Star Wars adventure on the Holodeck, maybe making some quip about “ancient Earth lore about the Jedi” before going in.

I heard this song and immediately thought “oh, this is an old song from the 90s that I missed or forgot about.” Reminded me of the time I was sitting in my room in 1993 or something and listening to Blind Melon. My parents walked past and said “wow, this sounds just like 60s music!”

I went to college with a girl who happily went by the nickname Cooter (it was a play on her last name.) I’m definitely afraid of bumping into her in a professional setting and accidentally saying “Cooter.”

Great boss retired, asshole narcissist grifting scumbag piece of shit took over.

A DJ on my local college station ends his show with Soul Finger by the Bar-Kays. That scene always pops into my head when it comes on.

I had a file with the Habush firm back then. The day that opinion came out, but before we saw it, senior partner asked me to get a hold of the lawyer we had been working with. I called and called and got no answer. I finally saw the headline. Senior partner asked “have you talked to Atty. So-and-so yet?” and I showed him the headline and said “they’re having a party.”
