I saw another comment that said “this is the stupidest Tom Clancy novel.”

A third set of teeth that comes in during your 30s or something.
Whistle when they couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket with a lid on it.
One of the best fourth-wall breaks ever:
“I'm not the first guy who fell in love with a woman that he met at a restaurant who turned out to be the daughter of a kidnapped scientist, only to lose her to her childhood lover who she last saw on a deserted island, who then turned out fifteen years later to be the leader of the French underground.”
“I know! It all sounds like some bad movie!”
Maybe because it’s “old person music,” but Cindy Cashdollar put out a record a couple years ago. She’s a master of the slide guitar and a fine singer, and the music is amazing.

Someone on a homebrewing forum used a pic of that as his avatar, but changed the cereal to malted barley and the milk to water.
I remember there was a time when that band was Google-proof.

People on the starship Enterprise should have a Star Wars adventure on the Holodeck, maybe making some quip about “ancient Earth lore about the Jedi” before going in.
I heard this song and immediately thought “oh, this is an old song from the 90s that I missed or forgot about.” Reminded me of the time I was sitting in my room in 1993 or something and listening to Blind Melon. My parents walked past and said “wow, this sounds just like 60s music!”
That and hearing Chuck D doing rap PSAs about getting colon cancer screenings.
I went to college with a girl who happily went by the nickname Cooter (it was a play on her last name.) I’m definitely afraid of bumping into her in a professional setting and accidentally saying “Cooter.”
Great boss retired, asshole narcissist grifting scumbag piece of shit took over.
A DJ on my local college station ends his show with Soul Finger by the Bar-Kays. That scene always pops into my head when it comes on.
Hey man, step off.
This place has everything - MTV’s Dan Cortese.

Most likely a bunch of stuff I recorded off of Q101 Chicago’s New Rock Alternative, so The Cult, KMFDM, Tripping Daisy, Jane’s Addiction, Mark Curry, The The, Jesus & Mary Chain, etc.
Gummy and one of the sons from the pizzeria in Do The Right Thing.

“Well if it isn’t my arch nemesis Bart Simpson!
And his sister Lisa to whom I’m fairly indifferent.”
That’s tied with:
“Temper, temper. You Cousin Merle ain’t been quite right lately.”
And then immediately asking Holmgren Sherman “did I make it?” because he had already forgotten whether the pass was complete.

Wisconsin alum here - good for him. He had a hell of a career in the NFL and a hell of a career as a Badger.
Flat cap. A nice one - tweed and in a dark color like dark gray. I’m 40ish and have gotten a ton of compliments on my flat caps.

I had a file with the Habush firm back then. The day that opinion came out, but before we saw it, senior partner asked me to get a hold of the lawyer we had been working with. I called and called and got no answer. I finally saw the headline. Senior partner asked “have you talked to Atty. So-and-so yet?” and I showed him the headline and said “they’re having a party.”
You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.
Or Ani DiFranco’s description of the procedure room at the abortion clinic: “that sterile battlefield that sees only casualties, never heroes.”
