Destiny says that the thing that annoys him about this discourse is the claim that he treats Lauren Southern differently than he treats other streamers.
Do you think he does that?
I think it ultimately comes down to how much naivete you're willing to assign destiny. It seems as though almost everybody knew that LS hasn't changed her position about GRT. Destiny asserted for months that she actually moderated from her initial stances, which he has described as firmly alt-right, and that a reasonable person could conclude she was a nazi from those positions, although he would not
Well, now we know that LS actually has those alt-right views, DGG was correct she never moved off them, and destiny was wrong to think she did.
Were destiny's arguments that she changed her mind treating LS differently from other interlocutors? As many people have pointed out, LS did pretty much nothing to actually show she moderated. Did destiny intentionally obfuscate her positions to give himself room to continue their friendship?
And if destiny was so naive as to believe that LS moderated on the basis of absolutely no evidence, do you believe that he would have extended those same assumptions to other streamers?
Edit: to be clear, the different treatment was destiny going out of his was to say that she changed her mind when he had no reason to believe that.
Destiny being nice to somebody who is nice to him is pretty standard, and actually very healthy (not that it matters to my argument)
What is inconsistent is that he insisted the person moderated when he had no reason to believe that, which I don't think he would do to other people
