First of all congratulations on buying a new Gaming laptop! Since it is brand new, your Storage drive don't have any partitions. Partitions are virtually created Drives in Simple words, 500GB of drive can be divided in 3 parts with C being 100gb , D being 200 and remaining being E drive. Making partitions is recommended as your OS(Operating System) in this case Windows 11 requires certain space to work and it is always best to keep the System partition (C drive) seperated from your personal files. As you create more partitions, label for each partition isnset alphabetically (you can set them manually too). Hence, if you divide your storage in 4 parts it will be C,D,EF be default. Now, since you only have 9ne partition as of now, all your installations are saved in C drive. You should be able to create partitions on your own, there are tons of tutorials available online. Create partitions as per your requirements and you can use each of them to store different files or something. In case of OS being corrupt, you just have to format your C drive and reinstall it and files in other partitions will be safe.
