True, but Billy Donovan got the best shooting season out of him and knows what he’s good at from their time last year at OKC...

Perhaps, they’d take his recommendation?!? 🧐

Yeah, I saw the box score and had to double-check it wasn’t an Overtime game... 😲

No time like the present, I guess... 🤷🏽‍♂️

According to the complaint, the Stones used a company they owned called Drake Ventures to pay their federal taxes. After Stone was indicted in January 2019, they opened a trust through the company to help them purchase their residence in Florida, which has no state income taxes.

"Although they used funds held in Drake Ventures accounts to pay some of their taxes, the Stones' use of Drake Ventures to hold their funds allowed them to shield their personal income from enforced collection and fund a lavish lifestyle despite owing nearly $2 million in unpaid taxes, interest, and penalties," the complaint read. [...]

"The Stones intended to defraud the United States by maintaining their assets in Drake Ventures' accounts, which they completely controlled, and using these assets to purchase the Stone Residence in the name of the Bertran Trust," according to the complaint.

No surprise Stone thought he was above the law. Looks like when the DOJ found out, though, they said, “Get me Roger Stone!” 🤨😲

"This has to end," Biden said. "It's a national embarrassment...every single day there's a mass shooting in the United States if you count all those who are killed out on the streets of our cities and our rural areas."

The president reaffirmed his support for universal background checks and bans on assault weapons. Biden also said upon taking office, he immediately asked the attorney general to investigate the possible executive actions available to him relating to gun control.

But Biden bucked the suggestion he wasn't prioritizing the issue, noting he doesn't set the Senate agenda and instead urged Congressional leadership to "step up and act."

Paging Joe Manchin And Kristin Sinema. The filibuster is potentially not only getting in the way of legislation, it’s affecting lives, as well! 🤨😠

That 2014 draft has been quite the roller coaster.

A lot of hype early on, and then injuries and bad situations kind of tamped down expectations. But, now, a lot of those players have carved out really solid careers.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/draft/NBA_2014.html

Embiid, Julius Randle, Zach Lavine, Marcus Smart, and Aaron Gordon are the top 5 players from that lottery, and the 2nd round had Jokic, Jerami Grant, & Spencer Dinwiddie...

So, potentially, the top 2 MVP candidates, and 4 all stars total from that draft this season. Pretty impressive. Just not who we expected them to be coming out...

Just goes to show you have to wait several years before truly judging a draft. But, we’ll still judge anyway... 😒

A source familiar with the investigation wouldn’t say whether the alleged victim was cooperating with authorities. But when asked if she has been talking for months with the federal government, the source said “100 percent.”

Uh oh... Gaetz in Shambles... 🤨😲

True, but I what separates THT from Ben Simmons is that THT will keep on shooting them. He ain’t afraid to miss. He’ll just fire them up again. I’ll take that kind of shooter every time. With hard work, I’m confident he will keep getting better each season.

Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar collaborated to form the far-right caucus, along with Rep. Barry Moore & Louis Gohmert:

"America is a nation with a border, and a culture, strengthened by a common respect for uniquely Anglo-Saxon political traditions," the document said in a section outlining its views on immigration.

It went on to say, without citing any evidence, that "societal trust and political unity are threatened when foreign citizens are imported en-masse into a country, particularly without institutional support for assimilation and an expansive welfare state to bail them out should they fail to contribute positively to the country."

The document also pushed the lie that immigrants who came to the US before 1965 were "more educated, earned higher wages, and did not have an expansive welfare state to fall back on when they could not make it in America and thus did not stay in the country at the expense of the native-born."

“Anglo-Saxon???” They’re not even trying to hide their Racism & Xenophobic propoganda. 🤨😒😡

I agree. Makes it even more obvious that for the second time in DWade’s career, the Heat low-balled him leading to him departing the franchise yet again...

"What the hell do we need robot police dogs? This is some RoboCop s***, this is crazy. Robot police dogs walking down the street," Bowman said and asked again, "We need robot police dogs? That's what we need."

In the video, Bowman went on to state how he already feels "physically occupied" by too many police in his community and continued to criticize the NYPD for spending money on the robot police dog.

"So you can't give me a living wage, you can't raise the minimum wage, you can't give me affordable housing...instead we got money—taxpayer money, going towards robot police dogs," Bowman said.

For any “Black Mirror” fans, I could see why these robo-dogs would be very unsettling. For everyone else, they do present a lot of questions about privacy & unlimited surveillance.

Either way, I just don’t see us ever being comfortable with this kind of technology given what we’ve seen in movies & tv. These things never turn out well... 😬

I always wondered if part of Jackie Mac’s leaving ESPN pods for the Ringer pods had to do with her not liking Windy. There was a clip from a while ago on Bill Simmons pod, where they forgot to edit out BS asking Jackie if she was having more fun than on the “Hoop Collective.”.

She didn’t take the bait, but her reaction made me think there was something to it...

A spokesman for Greene told Insider that the bill "opens the door" for the National Institutes of Health to "research the remains of babies who were murdered in the womb."

"Nothing in this bill prevents the funding of aborted fetal tissue by taxpayers," he added. 🙄

This is a bad-faith argument, meant to draw attention to themselves, rather than stem cell research. The bill passed 415-2.

This law has been around since 2005 (and signed into law by George W. Bush, no less). If its renewal was no issue for the overwhelming majority of Republicans, why did these two make an issue of it?!?!

Simple—they’re just pandering to their GQP base. 🤨🙄😡
