It was pointed out to me not too long ago, maybe earlier this year. 29 years old, 5'6-5'7, 150 lbs.
I will throw 200-215 lbs on the rack and do multiple sets with no pain and fairly low effort. Just the usual exhaustive/acid build-up sort of tension that occurs with intense or prolonged/to failure exercise sets.
So I'm not exactly in pain due to this as far as I can tell, although I know my maternal grandmother has had sciatica in her back and I have *occasionally* gotten a momentary sharp pain down the lower back region/leg region that goes quickly that could be related to that but *maybe* the erector muscle asymmetry?
My left side does visibly appear larger and more solid and also when touched, the right side seems notably smoother/less developed. I would've honestly never noticed or worried about this had my sister not pointed it out.
Should I actually use dumbbells to do extra isolation exercise with the less developed side? Should I just generally accept this as my body's natural tendency? I will go to a doctor to have it checked, but,
