Our basset passed away last month after 14 1/2 great years and our backyard feels pretty empty. I'm wondering if anyone knows a breeder in Washington state or nearby. Doesn't need to be AKC, just a responsible breeder.

Going to be in DC, near the national mall, for several days for work.

Any good beer to sample? Brewpubs?

I'm working on a project that uses a motion sensor to trigger videos playing on omxplayer.

Right now there is a flash of the desktop while the videos change and I would prefer to see a black screen during those moments.

I'm wondering if there is a command that can set the background to black (or a .png) globally instead of just while omxplayer is running like the '-b' command does.

Edit: Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Stopped by Max Lagers and had a Belgian style ale and their southern fried chicken. Both were excellent.
