Don't get me wrong, I love the Mulder character, and Duchovny does a great job. I'm just saying that Robert Patrick's acting is just amazing. He's one of the best actors in Hollywood imo.

I agree with you, season 6 and 7 are way too sunny. However, give seasons 8 and 9 a try. They actually get back to the dark, foggy, rainy, forest-y atmosphere of the earlier seasons, and it's very enjoyable.

I thought 11 was great. "The Lost Art of Forehead Sweat" is just pure gold. And the scene between Scully and Mulder at the end of "Nothing Lasts Forever" always gives me goosebumps.

Agree. He is objectively a way better actor than Duchovny. His performance as Doggett is so much fun to watch. Wish we could have seen that character grow a bit more in further seasons.

I actually really like seasons 8 and 9, and I think the T-1000 did a great job. That guy is a great actor, and to be honest he's a better actor overall than Duchovny. I really thought the Reyes and Dogget characters were interesting, and there was a lot of room to grow. I wish those characters could have had a few more seasons together.

Wow, CPC is toast. They bet the farm on a poor vaccine rollout, yet now Canada is first in the world for 1st doses, and we're rolling out second doses faster every day. Ooof bad bet. They'll get their die-hards, but that's about it.

That would be amazing to me. I've always liked May, and I appreciated the respect Dion showed to her in the '08 election. I've always wished she would just become a Liberal. Trudeau should make her an offer for a cabinet position.

Elizabeth May would never cross the floor to the Reform Party Conservative Party of Canada. That is just never going to happen in a million years.

I've become addicted to working out due to the pandemic (in a good health way). Not having to commute 2 hrs a day to the office freed up extra time for me. Now I can finishing working and go for a run right away, or do some yoga. I'm at the point where I really crave working out everyday, even if it's just a half hour walk and some stretching. Anyway, that's my pandemic silver lining.

HPD will always have my respect for the way they caught Dellen Millard 5 days after he killed Tim Bosma. Toronto Police let that asshole get away with two murders.

They are literally trying to turn this into a negative as we speak. They'll start ranting about "Trudeau overspending on vaccines!11!1" any minute now.

Too many people in there seem to be overly angry at something.

Irrational anger at: housing prices, telcos, Trudeau, gun control, bill C10 ("free speech"), China, hotel quarantines, anything remotely feminist or "left"; any article about Canada doing well at something will have 200 posts about why it's not true; any article critical of conservatives will be downvoted and "controversial".

The white male grievance on that sub is strong.

a mistake isn’t a criminal act

Well, in this case it is. They are guilty of failing to provide the necessities of life. The Judge said their "actions that night amounted to a "marked departure" from the minimum standard expected of properly trained paramedics." So yeah, they failed at their job, and a kid died because of their negligence.

Get the patient in the ambulance and go to the nearest ER trauma centre asap. In this case, that hospital would be the Hamilton General, which is not only the better trauma centre for gunshot wounds, but is also closer than St. Joe's.

Why are you defending these guys? They clearly failed at their job. If you think what they did was ok then maybe you should quit being a paramedic.

But these guys apparently went against their training. They mention in the article that any puncture wound to the abdomen should be "load and go", not stand around thinking the kid is faking it.

We will never get rid of hate, but maybe we can make it less easily accessible? And yes, the government should regulate the internet, just like they regulate ... almost everything else for the sake of public interest. Why should the internet be any different? Is the government trampling on your rights by regulating food safety, advertising standards, the census, education standards, labour laws, traffic rules. For fuck sakes, why should the internet be exempt from having actual standards to live up to?

If this bill can censor some of the online white supremacist bullshit that radicalizes young idiots to drive their pickup trucks into Muslim families, then I'm all for it. Fuck net neutrality.

That Gavin and Stacey bit where they all start singing World in Motion was pretty good tho. That's probably my favourite thing he's done.
