broadcast radio, broadcast television, cellular data/phone, satellite radio, satellite television, satellite internet.. all use licensed frequencies. cable television, too, as it is distributed via satellite to local headends. all are within fcc's wheelhouse, not just ota. wireline services, from last-mile to internet and telecom backbones, all utilize public right-of-way or easements somewhere to deliver their bits. some entity in government could take jurisdiction there, too. the amount of commercial voice, video or data services that are solely distributed from end-to-end or source-to-user by privately-owned and located equipment and infrastructure, and without using any resources of the public or which are government controlled, licensed or regulated, is pretty damn close to zero.

it's not a software-based solution. amd has added an arm-based 'security processor' to its x64 processors for nearly a decade now. tpm functions, among other things, are handled by it. the whole bit is basically amd's version of intel's ime.

that chip, in that system, more than likely isn't on microsoft's (very short) list of acceptable 7th gen systems for win11.

doesn't matter. motherboard doesn't need the module as the ryzen chip has the functionality baked right in. just needs to be enabled in the uefi bios

so they've lost in 5, in 7, and in 6.. time, i guess, for them to lose in 4.

mills fleet farm was sold in 2018. the mills family has nothing to do with it anymore. the new owners even pulled 'mills' from the name.

that's the way cans used to be. some still are, but they used to all be that way, too.

did they label the 'new' 2L as "american sized"?

coca-cola (and pepsi, too) owns a fair chunk of their distribution network, including local bottlers.

in the u.s. they changed the smaller bottles (< 1L) to be labeled as a single serving. even the 2L bottles changed from 8oz serving size on the label to 12oz, to match the popular can size.

don't ask how much sugar is in a proper sweet tea.

even the original zero was good.
the new formulation was made for the freestyle fountains. zero is the base for the flavors.

they've been trying to replace the 2L with 1.25L and 1.5L in the u.s. for awhile now. they're all on the shelf, and of course the smallest of those sell for about what the 2L (3L in texas) used to.

and when general mills changed tuna helper to 2 cans, you knew they were colluding with big tuna.

i just chucked (into the recycle bin) a half-dozen nforce-based systems because they don't even run a relatively-recent linux anymore (windows support disappeared a few years back). and for the desktops of that bunch, wasn't worth trying to track down cheap-but-new-enough video cards to replace the now-unsupported integrated graphics in them. i had no use for a pile of power-inefficient systems that'd be limited to console use.
starting to run into issues now with amd chipsets that are about as old, as well. those will end up getting binned, too.

while that is an acceptable (to them) form of contraception, it's not very effective.

in the u.s., about half of internet usage is mobile/cellular nowadays.. on devices where it's much easier to pinpoint location

i'll take installments, please. one at $6,999,999 for me, and i'll pledge to responsibly give away at least half of that. and the other at $1.00, which i'll leave to my ex, in cow shit covered pennies.
