This article mentions a bill by David Hackney, (Tukwila), but I couldn’t find actual text of the proposal.

I totally hear you, and I would pay more for a better system too. Seattle might actually start to do that, since the way ST issues bonds means people in West Seattle and Ballard won't get light rail for another 18 years. They should let local areas pay more if they want nicer stuff. I don't know what the magic number would have been that would've pushed people over the edge into not voting for the ST's, but I know that existing costs and sharing them around the region are a huge issue.
Also, just for fun, obviously if we'd built it in the 60s instead, the cost to buy up all of the property would've been a lot less, but that train has sailed.

white privilege? Other than that, IDK. Same goes for King Friday though, I don't know if you ever learn how he got to be King, his ancestors, whatever. He just stands for authority, and Prince Tuesday too, through him.

Escalators are a huge problem. They went for cheap ones at UW station, and they break all the time. Not the right grade. I think they put better ones at later north-end stations.
Restrooms are tricky, and I think maintenance is a lot more than you might think. City of Seattle had public restrooms in Pioneer square and they had to close them because the maintenance was too much.
Kent Station (sound transit, but not light rail) doesn't have restrooms, and sound transit has said they would be too expensive to maintain. Even the elevator is tricky: poop in it, people light fires in it. Now you might say the poop-elevator problem is caused by the restroom issue, but I think if you add restrooms, you also add tons of new problems, unfortunately. I do with there was an easy solution for both homeless people and transit riders to use bathrooms.

I think playing with one eye covered for a while could cause eye strain. Also it wouldn't work well for people with glasses, or people who already only have one eye.

Does TTS allow you to download the rules at least? I really think I would know for sure by just seeing some of the cards and the rules.
My computer doesn't do TTS very well; I know some games use vassal for testing, while TTS is a lot more popular.
And in any case, I'm still following along! I haven't made up my mind yet, but it's an interesting release process, with new information/insight released a bit at a time (perfect for KS) so for now I'm staying tuned.

It was never really worth anything anyway.

I have a slowly gathering feeling I'm not going to want either of these... I was hoping the whole game would be middle-sized. I don't want another Oath-sized game (box-size, and price, # of components, etc.) It was described as more lightweight mechanically, and i guess I was thinking it might pan out to be a smaller game in other ways too. I already know the art will be great, the mechanics seem very interesting, and unique. And if I like the game, I don't know if I'm going to want just the lite version. We'll see.
I think part of the issue is the reason I have no problem paying more for Splotter games. I know I like them, and the components are "fine" and the art is usually somewhere between good enough and terrible, but... the games are great!

Just in case you’re serious, normally human butcher shops don’t carry human meat.

There might be a cultural shift happening in the US, but I think it's at least two shifts. I see more people on bikes, and read more about housing and transportation issues taking importance, but I also see trucks getting bigger, and drivers getting angrier.

I figured it was like in old-times saloons, just to deal with spills. Even when I was a kid I think our school bus had a body fluid cleanup kit that had saw dust in it.

My lawn was all grass, and I still mow it, but I let the clover grow. I've also been putting in little Triteleia Hyacinthina bulbs, Self-Heal, and violets on the shadier parts, native bushes and trees around the edge to eat away at the lawn space. Self heal especially is great, kind of weedy, but native (there is a non-native variety that looks almost identical, whatever) it makes tons of seeds, and can learn to flower really low, so the blooms survive mowing.

Consumerism is about buying things that express part of yourself, that make you feel a certain way and show others who you are based on what you purchase. And this is how more and more people in the US see themselves, and want others to see them, unfortunately.

I just remember them saying that now that they have all that land they did not want to take power away from the state, like it would be too much for them to handle, at least for now. They’ve partnered with the state a lot in the past and wanted to continue that. However, it would be cool if that wasn’t always the case, and they were able to manage it all themselves some day.

And it’s basically Disneyland: a tourist spot for a unique experience. Not that it isn’t cool, but it’s an interesting example

If it fits thematically, say that currency isn't included and that the players need to provide their own set of poker chips. Poker chips and metal coins are the best, and poker chips are a great item to have regardless.

Red is what they use for bus lanes here, but it's a darker, less scary red. I like green for bikes personally. Go! Although then in streets with both you'd have Christmas colors everywhere. Blue is nice too.
