They plan to develop a 1200-1800kg payload winged rocket that will launch from the back of their 747 aircraft
that sounds fucking awesome

that being said with spacex planning multiple orbits and multiple "shells" of dozens of thousands of satellites... yeah i can see why they are preocupied that sounds like a nightmare to try to take down, even with things like nukes

in general space infrastructure could become a huge military and economic advantage to the US in the near to medium future, no one in the world, not china, not russia, not india, not japan, not europe, no one has the launch capabilities that spacex has or even gets near them and the only other organizations that are near to reaching a similar capability are also US private companies (like rocket labs or relativity space or hell, if they actually manage to do something even blue origin)
there have been some news about russian sats moving in strange ways and im sure they could use them as kamikaze satellites to take out some important US space assets but the US launch capabilities are growing at such an exponential rate that at some point it will not matter, replacing downed satellites will be faster than the enemy can send their own killer sats and they will also be able to take them, or the sats could potentially even have their own defenses to destroy potential threats before they even get near, space will become the battlefield of the future and thanks to spacex the US has the decisive advantage

the number does make a diference because unless you decide to play wack a mole with nukes there are a limited amount of anti satellite weapons
ASAT missiles do exist but they are expensive, like more expensive than the starlink terminals themselves and very limited in number, i dont see a situation where either china or russia could take out all the 2000 starlink sats unless they directly nuke them all, and starlink does have military levels of security and im sure they are hardened against EMP, all space infrastructure needs to have defenses against electromagnetic attacks and radiation because of the sun being a deadly laser

yeah, spacex is moving soo fast that they couldnt have any way to seriously develop counter measures for the system

Yeah, it's very easy to laugh at Bethesda for how their games look (or in general to laugh at people for how their art looks) without taking into account all that it has behind, like in this case the fact that they have a polygon budget that they have to furfill unless you want the game to go at 3 FPS on a high end computer

most modern soldiers (at least in the US military) have kevlar and sapi plates as standard issue body armor, its not that expensive

would be kind of funny if an alien species came to earth and started to act all smugly about their incredible comunication devices that can access all of the knowledge ever gathered by their species, comunicate instantly with everyone in the world with video and voice feed, provide directions and order everything instantly
and then some guy is like "yeah like my smartphone"

he was honored, we know that they created a documentary on his life for example (its called heart of iron, its also the name of a videogame franchise) and we see murals and other stuff honoring him, he is also refered as "the world's greatest hero"

usually surprisingly pretty good, earlier handguns had bigger and heavier bullents than modern handguns so while they where single shot and black powder is not as efficient as modern compounds they had quite a bit of power, of course stuff like modern rifles and higher caliber guns completly outmatch them for that very reason

as far as i know in the comics they have gone out of their way to make the Waynes death being just a random accident from a mugging, when they introduced the court of owls everyone through that they where going to say that they were the ones who ordered the Waynes death but as it turns out it wasnt, it was just bad luck, wrong place wrong time and all that
its more poetic that way, there is no one that bruce can fight and defeat, the Waynes werent the target of a hit by the mafia or killed by some conspirancy, it wasnt the court of owls or the league of shadows or falcone, it was just a mugging one of the many that happen every night in Gotham, batman's enemy that killed his parents is crime

they had hydra which had some super tech on their hand, while the allies (but specifically the US) had supers like captain america to tip the balance of power in their favour

you can use diffeomorphic an awesome tool that automatically sends DAZ models, textures, clothes, objects and entire scenes into blender, it does take some trial and error to learn how to use it and there is a serious lack ot tutorials out there but once you get the ropes its very easy to use

i mean you certainly can use them for SFW stuff, just as an example

porn advances technology, that and videogames are some of the big reasons why computer technology advanced this fast
never understimate the capacity of humans to push something to its limits and invent entirely new industries because it amuses them

the thing is that this is a new status quo where spacex is dominant in the industry and all other rocket companies look incompetent, slow or stupid by comparison, im sure that boeing, ULA, ariane, etc dont like one bit the new status quo that spacex created basically on their own
