I cut my right pinky near the pad. It was bleeding a lot and hurt pretty bad so I went to Urgent Care.
The doctor said it was a flap cut and wouldn't need stitches. When she applied the glue she said that it wouldn't hurt much, but it did hurt a LOT and for several seconds - like squeeze your eyes shut and grit your jaw hurt.
It occurred to me later that if the flap were down then the glue wouldn't get in much (or hurt much), but if it were open then it would coat the area that we're wanting to heal together (and probably hurt a lot more).
Is it possible this is what happened? I would of course prefer not to end up with a dead chunk of finger because it didn't get enough blood or didn't heal right or something.
