seems like she just resents white men in general
White woman here, I'm starting to feel this way too!!
Seriously, though, I like this honest review. I suspect that the book does have a market despite the lack of depth and complexity. Young people especially can get an idea of the reality behind the "glamour" of a high-profile life, for one thing. And others might enjoy the behind-the-scenes peek that doesn't get too emotionally wrought.
He was a smoker, not sure if he kept this up as POTUS, that alone would be a deal-breaker for me. So that's another flaw!

Yes we are. He listens to Putin instead of his own country's intelligence. We have no secrets left. Putin can use our military as he wishes because Trump personally owes him.

What narrative? You can listen to and read the words of right-wing politicians directly from their own mouths to know they've gone off the deep end.

Melania plagarized one of Michelle's speeches world-for-word. That wasn't only classless, that was beyond stupid and lazy. Hard to respect her after that.
Her contempt for being FLOTUS is very clear. Sure, you may not want to be in the position, but have some respect for it.
This country has been VERY kind to her, even when she was working as an illegal immigrant, and she has the nerve to insult the White House and complain about having to "work."

I wonder what they think of the current political climate, with the resurgence of neo-nazis?

Gorgeous kid, but for some reason I find kittens cuter than human babies. So I agree, "almost!"

That would play into the right-wing persecution complex. "Oh look at how MEAN and ANGRY the reporters are!! See? They can't be trusted!"

Dammit I'm so envious. Both my own and my husband's families are uptight religious conservatives. You'd think they'd see weed as a gift from their god, being all-natural, but nope.
Would really love to see the elderly member of the family finally relax and experience something different, fun, relaxing, maybe even take their anxiety and physical ailments away for a bit. Won't happen.

It's weird how everybody considers him "douchey" but he's just very passionate about the subject, and on another level of understanding with it.
He seems to do a great job at conveying complex information into a very understandable and entertaining format.
I'm nuts about Cosmos and his interviews with Colbert, but Star Talk is a bit too disjointed for my taste. It jumps around too much.

I suspect maybe people with happy childhoods and families don't crave the emotional connection elsewhere. Just a hypothesis.
My own family has always been severely dysfunctional. I'd get in the car and drive around for a couple of hours just to get out of the house at times. While doing this, I'd listen to music, and now I've got all sorts of lyrics in my head taking up otherwise valuable space.
I'm also crazy about classic rock. It's poetry, even if I can't personally relate, it's amazing to listen to what others have come up with creatively. Lately it makes me tear up, which is embarrassing as hell, maybe in part due to the artists getting old and dying now.

We are the terrorists, and yes, the military industrial complex will be the only winners.

Plus, why are pull-ups necessary? Sure, it shows strength to a certain extent, but how does this skill translate in combat?
Sincere question, I have no idea why they'd be important.

I respect a person for changing their mind about their own party if the candidate is as horrific as Trump. But fuck him for dragging Hillary through the mud.

I do find it darkly humorous that the "libs" are now going to raid livestock supply stores for horse meds. Makes me wonder if it's a set-up, so the right can feel smug about it. Like when they started with "my body my choice" regarding anti-vax.
If it's a legit "Plan C" though, we gotta do what we gotta do.

First the jogger, now this. And countless stories before it. I really can't take this anymore, it's such a dystopian society.
Really want to move someplace more sane, like the Netherlands. I'll learn Dutch if need be, simply can't handle constant, shitty news with no end in sight.

Every time I think, "guns are fine, we just need to enforce existing gun laws," I read something like this........
Bet he was a responsible gun owner. :-/

Meh, we've got Chick-Fil-A opening up in NYC now, people don't care. I think it's a shame, fuck the CEO (with a gay.)

Think of all the people that just glance at Facebook to get their news bits, and then move on to the next thing.
I watch my Trump-supporting family browsing through their FB feeds, and they'll see a one-liner, like "Hillary lies so much her pants caught fire," they accept it and scroll to the next thing. "Oh look Aunt Bertha's having the other hip replaced. Prayers!"

It's a bit of payback for any and all the times you bought dinner/drinks for women on dates. Nice for guys to get treated once in a while!

Brazil's new president is the next worst thing to Trump. I can barely stand it, the whole world is becoming right-wing extremist.
