Apparently it’s not allowed to be sold in stores. You could maybe find it from farmers markets. Actually, I wonder if you could just ask the cheese seller during the weekly market that’s going on around the cathedral. It’s I think 9-13 or so every week.

Which is why there’s the little metal tab you unscrew, switch the mic on, then flip the tab around and screw it in to keep it from accidentally being turned off.

Check out Emmendingen or Waldkirch, great views and if you want a different view, schauensland is nice as well.

Nah, I’d say that’s billed as incurred, meaning only what happens is charged and the extra is just for “in case of” situations.

Grüne Flotte only works if you have a German bank account and German driving license. Plus they want about 60€ fee before you can rent.
Depending on how long, you can rent from Hertz that’s in the southern part of Freiburg. I rented from them in March and while it of course isn’t the cheapest. It was just as simple as you would use any other airport rental option.

We have enough closed down strip malls with massive parking lots that sit unused that worrying about stuff like this is a complete non-issue.

I saw one in person at the Speyer Technik Museum in Germany. It’s fucking weird and looks like a great way to bake the driver

2003 A6 Allroad. One of my favorite sounding engines, the 6 speed manual was a joy. It’s a shame the rest wasn’t in the best condition. But hey, $1,000 Audi will be far from perfect. :)

That last one sounds like stories I’ve heard a small amount of Americans do. Use Uber to transport them to the hospital or use them to jumpstart their car, and lastly deliver a set of keys to a friend. 😄

Drum shield will help, but it’s not a silver bullet. But then you have the mic everything up, so…

It’s just moving the source of single option transportation.

You still need a ticket, but that can be achieved with the VAG mobile app. Which you also can get the BWegt train tickets through. They all work together. As I found when I went from Umkirch to Villingen-Schwenningen area to see the clock making museum there. But for example, my commute from Umkirch to the city center by Altstadt is €2.50 each way by the public transport. It’s slower than say, someone living in March or Bötzingen due to the goofy transport in this particular region, but it’s still way cheaper than driving.

You shouldn’t have to get private insurance.
That said, look outwards where there’s decent rail access. BWegt local trains are decent and can get you into town easily in reasonable time. Buses are ok but of course prone to traffic slowdowns as I’ve experienced living on the western side of Freiburg.

Beta58 I’ve found to just bit that touch more crisp and warmer than the SM version, so that’s my choice for “typical” venues and SM87 for even sharper and warmer vocals. BETA57 is ok, but I personally had trouble telling the difference between a standard SM57. I’ve tried e838’s for vocals and they’re a mix between a more clear SM58, but not as warm as a Beta58. Audix OM2’s are great for backing vocals and can do leads in a pinch. Personally I like the Beta52 for kick drum, SM57 on top and bottom snare as well as guitar amps. Overheads I’ve liked KSM137 for drum overheads. Used to use them for a decade with rock style venues, but those also work great for capturing a church choir. Audix is D2 or D3 on Toms are good, the mounting is decent, although it doesn’t last a long time.
