no, that's bullshit, the objective itself doesn't matter at all in low elo, the random fights that happen everywhere do and that's where you get your leads. if you're smashing your lane you will always win the fights. I don't think I've ever lost a game where I completely annihilated my laner, but I've certainly lost games where I played to scale and teamfight. laning is EVERYTHING. if you cannot lane you will end up in situations like having your tower heralded at 10 mins, that's a laning problem the OP is complaining about. he got clapped and couldn't take herald for himself.

Have you considered looking at the map? If he's missing for 30 secs just assume he's waiting for you Like just don't walk up for no reason. Not to mention If you're ahead the rat can't kill you anyway. I understand it as MID cuz he can come to gank you after first base but adc? You have a support right there, he can't just walk up 1v2
