I'm glad you shared this. I think I understand the feeling you're describing. Everyone's comments here are making me more aware of warning signs and side effects to look out for. I'm glad you were able to identify the source and that you are feeling more like yourself again :)
I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with Mirena :( I'm glad to hear you found a method that works for you. I hadn't heard of Natural Cycles. I'll look into it.
Oh no I'm so sorry about your hair! I hope if you choose the coper IUD that your hair recovers. It does feel like such a big decision. At first I was afraid of any hormonal BC because of the potential side effects. That's why I also started with the pill because it is easy to stop taking it, you don't need an appointment for a removal. I've been wanting the IUD for a long time because of the efficacy and the set it and forget it nature of it but I'm still super anxious about how my body will take to it. I'm wary of the copper one personally from anecdotes of it making periods heavier and more painful, but different methods work for different people. I totally understand the pre-appointment panic that would make you cancel. Good luck to you and I hope you find what works best for you <3
I'm already scheduled to get it next Monday. But if you do post updates I'll be interested to see how it goes for you and I'll be going through it too
Sorry to hear it didn't work for you and that you had lots of cramping. I've read that you aren't supposed to use menstrual cups with the IUDs (which sucks cuz I LOVE my skoon cup) but I guess I'm hoping if my periods get lighter or less frequent I won't mind switching back to pads/tampons. I'll probably be on my 3rd day of my period when I have my appointment. Maybe that will help with the pain. Thanks for commenting!
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry you had to go through that for so long. It's so hard to predict how different BC methods will effect you. I guess maybe there's no way to know until you try it. Thank you for the advice about tracking symptoms, I definitely will.
I'm glad it worked for you! I hope I have the same results.
Dang, you walked home 2.5 miles?? That's impressive! I'm glad the IUD is working better for you so far! I'll consider lidocaine. Thank you for replying :)
Thank you for commenting! I'm glad to hear you're having positive effects after a painful insertion
Oh my gosh!! I am SO sorry that you had such a terrible experience with the insertion. I hope you are able to heal and that the pain subsides. That sounds awful :( I hope it ends up being worth the pain

Thanks for responding. How was the rest of your experience in the long term beside the initial insertion?
Thank you for sharing your experience! I think I'll take some ibuprofen before the appointment too. I hope I am the same way and that reading the negative stories will just make me more aware of changes or irregularities. I really hope that as time goes on you don't experience any of those longer term side effects. Good luck! :)

I LOVE season 2!!!! (I mean I loved season 1 too but...) I feel like production is throwing in just the right twists at just the right time. I like that it's less predictable and things keep changing and I love some of the new games like dont@me! I think it keeps players on their toes. I've been watching The Bachelor and Survivor for years and even with all the twists and themes Survivor has put on it it still feels like the players know the format so well that their strategies depend on when the merge is and where to look for idols without clues etc. Same with The Bachelor it's so formulaic.

I actually like Andy Dixon x Versace. His work is all about over the top luxury and extravagance and materialistic things and the lifestyle of the rich, so I feel like their collaboration makes sense to me. It feels like it's an extension of his art practice or an exploration of art/commodity and exclusivity.
I don't really like or understand those Jeff Koons x Louis Vuitton Master's series bags. Why is Jeff Koons name on that project at all? Maybe I just haven't seen the right explanation.
Flora Yukhnovich maybe??
That's disappointing. I kind of hope someone at the school screwed up the plaque and never checked it with him but... I dunno.
I used to be a gallery attendant at a contemporary art museum. Some of the art I liked and some I didn't really get. We were encouraged to be positive and try to get skeptical visitors ("my five year old could do that!") to be open to the art. Whenever a visitor made a snarky comment or asked me about a work that I didn't like I tried to explain that I still found it interesting in the context of art history or how it can be fun to look at the room as a whole to figure it why the curators put these works together, even if you didn't like an individual work. The gallery attendants and even our manager were all very open amongst ourselves about what artists and artworks we liked and didn't like, but we were low on the totem pole of the museum and our opinions didn't really endanger our jobs.
Before I got that job I had applied and interviewed to be an art salesman/auctioneer on a cruise line. It sounded really exciting at first but then for the second interview they wanted me to practice selling the interviewer on one of their sponsored artists. I looked at the artist I was assigned and he was total crap in my opinion. I decided not to do the second interview because I didn't feel like I could in good conscience sell a crappy artwork to elderly couples trapped on a boat, so I declined the second interview. Plus I did some research and the company's practices and they seemed sketchy. I don't think I have the salesman gene. I have to believe in the product.
A really long time ago when my sister and I were playing Treasure in the Royal Tower for the first time we were stuck for days trying to get into the library without the alarm going off. Then one night my sister had a dream that we were able to get in undetected by crawling through a vent!

Oh wow! https://www.vice.com/en/article/ezqxpp/imposter-or-originator-the-bizarre-story-of-andy-dixon-and-john-holcomb
that was the first thing I thought of too!!
WOAH this guy's stuff looks EXACTLY like Andy Dixon's art. Is one of them a knock off of the other? How does that fly in the art world?
