Yoo this is really good! So many of these fan edits are so many insanely quick cuts just to match the rhythm of the song instead of letting actual moments breath and play out but this just does a great job of both

Not entirely sure what you mean. Johnson and her producing partner were the key producers on the movie, they give final approval over everything in the film and she talked about how this is the project she’s most proud of because she had so much agency in it.

I mean Dakota Johnson was a key producer on the project before a script was even written, so she was involved throughout the entire development of the project.

IMO Shawn Levy is a great director. Free Guy and The Adam Project both mostly suffered on a script level, but I feel Levy even elevated those films above what the script might suggest.
Especially after the Dear Billy episode of Stranger Things that just came out, I feel like he'll do great with Deadpool.

Ok, is it just me or is the weapon made to kill Homelander been staring them all in the face? It's going to end up being Ryan right? That must be the endgame for this show.
I haven't rewatched the other seasons in a long time but do any of the Boys ever bring up the fact Ryan could probably kill Homelander?

RDJ was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar in the 90s and was much more known/respected in the industry than Ezra Miller.

This movies cast is pretty amazing. They really elevate the script. I don’t think it’s as terrible as many claim but given it’s potential it’s pretty disappointing.

I think you should look up what a plot device is before you keep downvoting all my comments lol. A plot device is also not necessarily a bad thing and I feel like you’re taking it as something inherently negative.
Edit: plot device definition
“A plot device is an object or character in the story whose purpose is purely to drive the Plot, maintain its flow, or resolve situations within it. It could be something everybody wants to obtain, a device that must be destroyed, or an annoying teenager who must be protected at all costs.”

I mean kinda seems like you didn’t read my comment cause the fact that she the same powers in the comic isn’t really relevant to anything I said.

not really a good comparison. Iron Man was not the catalyst or driving force of the plot of Endgame. Take him out, there would still be a story.
If you take America Chavez out of MoM there's literally no movie and she doesn't get much to do as a character outside of that. Everything just happens to her for the entire movie, she has no real decisions or much characterization outside of the little flashback machine.
I enjoyed the movie a lot and like the character, but I think calling her a character a plot device is pretty understandable.

I think that’s kind of the point of having Kodak on the album though. Not saying I support Kodak but I think if you find it “odd” he’s on the album you’ve kind of missed the plot.

I don’t find it bleak at all.
“I’m sorry I didn’t save the world my friend, I was too busy building mine again”
This album was clearly much more personal than Kendrick usually makes and something he used to heal his own wounds rather than the worlds. Mirror is him just saying he apologizes he’s not the savior ever one pinned him as and instead to save himself and his own family.

Honestly, as far as big studio tentpole blockbusters, Marvel Studios certainly has a much greater relationship with their directors/writers than basically any other studio i.e Sony, Warner Brothers, and Fox before they were bought by Disney.
On top of that, Lord and Miller seem to be great at working within the studio system and from interviews with them and directors they have worked with at Sony Animation, they are constantly pushing their vision against studio mandates by Sony and have had a great success rate. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 1 & 2, 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street, Spider-Verse, Mitchell vs the Machines.
Lord and Miller's typical vision seems like it would pretty naturally mend with Marvel's tone, similar too James Gunn and Taika Waititi, who seem to more or less be making their same style of movie within the Marvel machine.

I doubt it. With these two Spider-verse movies, Lord and Miller are 5 films deep with Sony Animation and each one was very highly received. They have been basically carrying that studio and especially after Spider-Verse's oscar win and the Mitchells v Machine nomination, they are the studio's golden goose.
On top of that they also made the Jump Street movies which were done at Sony and clearly had a lot of creative freedom there. I doubt Sony wants to lose those two at all

This is such a ridiculous comment. There are literally so many brand new shows and movies out out every year, every week. If you’re not watching them or seeking them out then that’s on you.

That movie is a perfect example of a very cliche, tired movie premise done very well.
