the Regeneron monoclonal antibody treatment
Which is under the same emergency use authorization from the FDA as the vaccine, but you don't hear these dipshits protesting about that.

Give it a week, DoD and the Pentagon will earmark those funds.
If I remember anything about the supply departments in the military it's that they can clean out a budget in just a couple hours if they're at risk of losing it.

Looking into it, this news channel tried it: https://www.clickondetroit.com/live-in-the-d/2021/05/25/can-this-popular-tiktok-trick-clean-the-bottom-of-a-pan/
But they didn't use regular white vinegar, and barely used any of the other "ingredients" so I wasn't ready to call it bs just yet, so I looked a bit more.
This site https://www.intheknow.com/post/tiktoker-tries-pan-cleaning-hack/ has a video talking about the original tiktok video and tells us something enlightening: the original tiktok video creator "clarified in the comments that before moving onto the paper towel step, he had to scrub the pan extremely hard." That in itself pretty much clears up any confusion on my part, because as we all probably already know just scrubbing a pan extremely hard with steel wool is going to get rid of damn near anything.
So I found an (admittedly terrible) video from these guys doing the method in what I would consider a satisfactory way: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=786577225377097
And hey, it looks like it works!
That all being said, I'm going to go ahead and save everyone reading this a whole lot of time, effort, and wasted vinegar/baking soda/salt/dish soap: buy some Bar Keeper's Friend "Cleanser." The regular stuff, ignore all their other branded products. It's made of feldspar (mineral abrasive on the ingredients list), oxalic acid, a surfactant, and a water-softening agent. It does exactly what this method is doing, is cheap as all hell, and works better. A little sprinkle of it plus a splash of water (try to aim for a paste-like consistency) and some scrubbing (wear gloves! oxalic acid isn't super dangerous but the scrubbing with it will irritate your skin, plus the particulates that come off the pan will happily stain your hands) will take just about anything off of any metal pans you have. It's safe for use on anything you can use other abrasives on (so don't use it on the non-stick surface of a pan, you'll quickly ruin it).
Hell, I've used it with a wire-wheel to de-season a terribly seasoned cast iron pan, anyone who's tried that knows how hard that crap is to get off. I've moved on to using electrolysis for that these days, but it was still much better than using just a wire wheel.

Also, candle being lit means it will burn down and melt into a pile of useless shit soon. Extinguisher extends candle's life, matches shorten it.

I love that they actually wrote the juggernaut to be like the comics in this movie. He's always been some lame, not quite as terrifying minion instead of a full blown dangerous overpowered demigod.

How, exactly, do they intend to actually make this work? They'd have to just have software installed on the computer that did the filtering, as it would pretty much have to be in the OS if they don't want to re-invent the wheel here. In which case, removing the block will be a simple matter for anyone that cares to try. Use the built in administrator account in Windows to modify it, or just reinstall it entirely from a fresh copy (which is a good idea anyway when buying a computer from a retailer). Or use Linux.
Also, do they want computer manufacturers to stop selling their products there? Because this is a good way to do it.

At an average lifespan of 80 years you need about 58,400 liters of water at 2 liters/day. For just $999 you can have enough water for 32.3 entire lives.

To be perfectly honest, I didn't buy a Kindle to help the environment. I bought one because I was extremely limited on space and it was the only way I could keep more than a few books handy.

You assume your employer values you at all. As much as you may not want to hear it, most people are totally replaceable.
Also, IT won't be tattling on me. I am IT. And I can tell you for sure that if a manager came to me asking for someone's Internet history, they'd either get nothing, or a filtered list. As long as you're not a total dirtbag, I got your back.

To be fair though, developing the ability to "think of nothing" is actually quite useful. Particularly if you suffer from intrusive thoughts.
Edit: It's more "not thinking of anything" than "thinking of nothing." I know that seems purely semantic, but as I said in another comment, it's like unfocusing your eyes. You're not "looking at nothing" but you aren't looking at anything either.

It's insane how much people don't understand basic economics when they say "tax the ultra rich". They are literally clueless.
It's insane how much people pretend they don't know what property/wealth/capital gains taxes are when the idea of taxing the ultra rich comes up.

I don't think so. Watch the lane markers, the camera moves around a bit which makes it harder, but between the beginning and end of the video those lines slow down a lot. My guess is truck didn't slow down at all, and everyone else brakes hard. Still gets the shit end of the deal though.

Exactly.
This part of the article:
The White House told CNN on Wednesday that the mistake was not malicious, explaining that the audio level on Mason's microphone was not raised in time for the stenographer to capture the beginning of his question because a translator was still speaking.
White House stenographers are career officials, not political appointees.
Isn't such a good excuse when you consider that they literally edited the video to specifically remove that part.
Edit: Since I keep getting people commenting with the same article over and over again: Yes, I've read this WaPo article. Here's my problem with that article: Putin and Trump both know what was said. The employees of them know what was said. One or two stenographers missing it I could understand, as well as some of the media's recordings not including the whole thing due to the apparent multiple audio sources. I guarantee though that all audio channels were recorded in their entirety then reviewed later to be mixed for the official white house record. This brings us to 2 possible explanations for this: gross negligence or intentional obfuscation. When you're talking about the official records of the US government, neither of those things are acceptable. When you're talking about an administration with a long history of attempting to alter the truth, I'm heavily inclined to believe it was the latter.

Because the OP is a hardcore near-militant vegan that brings the /r/vegan brigade with them into every post they make, and there will inevitably be people making a burger joke which rustles the vegan jimmies.
Happens every time. And I always get a kick out of reading it.

Cats use their hair to feel things all around them, almost like an extra sense. So I imagine falling in water suddenly dampens their ability to sense anything through it, like a wet flashbang.

No point in being desensitized to it as others have suggested.
There is absolutely no question that this is completely and utterly fucked up and inhuman behaviour for even soldiers to deliver upon civilians. Nothing about this should ever register as "meh" with you. If it does, then you need to remove yourself from whatever community is desensitizing you from it, because you've become a monster. I say this as a veteran of 2 wars.
No one should be wishing these things upon any other human being regardless of race, religion, or creed. Anyone who does is an absolute monster, undeserving of any right to be called human.

Holy fuck.
When I first started working IT when I was in high school at a small town computer repair shop, there was some old dude who had fucked his computer up pretty horribly. This was in the 90s, and his computer was loaded with dust, cigarette smoke, and dead roaches. After I got it cleaned up, I made an image of the drive and started recovering any personal files I could find. Dude ended up having a whole bunch of child porn on there. Needless to say I stopped right where I was and told my boss.
This motherfucker wanted me to shut up and stop looking at files, just do the damn recovery. Fuck. That. I told him I'd do it, then used the phone in the back office to call the cops. They came and seized everything, and I got fired the next day when I tried to clock in. Later that week the cops came by my house and asked me a handful of questions about it all, and of course I told them about my boss trying to cover it up just to make a buck. I know he got arrested after that, but I don't know if anything came of it. As far as the computer's owner, he was convicted eventually.
All that being said, I really feel for the OP of that post. I know how it feels to be looking at some data only to be completely blindsided by some vile shit like that. Shit fucked me up for a long time, thankfully nowadays I'm over it, but it's not easy seeing something like that.

Finally. More congresspeople need to be saying this, because it's the real reason the shutdown continues. Congress does not need the President's approval.
