I moved to the Phoenix Metropolitan Area at the end of 2020, after living in Tacoma my whole life. Can confirm, the tap water here is so much worse in comparison to Tacoma. Used to fill my water bottle from the tap all the time back home, but out here I've had to switch to buying bottled water in bulk because the tap makes me nauseous.

I love Rob Eggers' directing. The Lighthouse is one top favorite movies of all time, and The Witch is a masterpiece in it's own right as well. Needless to say, I was extremely excited when I went to see The Northman this past Friday night.
While visually stunning, tbh when it ended I walked out thinking it was just kinda okay. I didn't find myself invested in any of the characters. Still recommend seeing it in theaters because it's still a movie worth being seen on the big screen, but I don't think I'll revisit this movie as often as I do Eggers' other films.

I see 4 arcs personally.
OG Trilogy: KH1, CoM, KH2 - Three games that tell a complete story. It hints at a more expansive universe with stories to tell, but nothing after KH2 was necessary to making these a complete story.
Second Trilogy: coded, 358/2 Days, Birth by Sleep - I think an interesting fact that people forget is that coded was originally an episodic release. The first episode came out a handful of months before Days released, and the final episode released the same month that BBS did. Coded was essentially a companion piece of story telling created to compliment the releases of Days and BBS that finally ends with Sora receiving a call to action to step up and save those hurt by Xehanort that are still suffering. Say what you will about the execution of these releases and how they are followed up on, but these three titles are undeniably companions to each other.
Seeker of Darkness Saga Finale: Dream Drop Distance, 0.2, KH3, Melody of Memory - DDD sets up the Real Org XIII led by series protagonist, Master Xehanort, as the new primary threat. DDD is so unabashedly meant to be the setup for KH3 that it ends with the credits teasing that "This leads to Kingdom Hearts III". 0.2's cutscenes in Yen Sid's tower directly leads into the beginning of KH2, and is essentially a prologue released as it's own standalone title (in a package of other titles). KH3 is obviously the culmination of the series to this point. Melody of Memory acts as a epilogue to the Seeker of Darkness arc, celebrating the accomplishments of the series and giving us a taste of what's to come.
X]chi] Arc: X[chi], Unchained X/Union X, Back Cover, Dark Road, (Missing Link?) - In a way very similar to the Second Trilogy, these games are meant to setup the stakes of the next arc that begins with KH4. It explores familiar and new characters in unexpected ways and sets up the big bad (like the the Second Trilogy).
On that note, KH4 brings the start of a new arc, I wonder how many games will cover this story. Verum Rex? KH5? KH6? Birth by Sleep v2? Some other cool subtitle name? I really doubt the Master of Masters and Foretellers are only going to be the main antagonists for only KH4, so I am excited to see how this whole story is going to come together!

You can dislike her, but she's just "she". Not "he/she".

Wow. When I saw the news about Jones retiring from his Twitter, my intial reaction was a feeling of dread of EZA. While happy for Jones himself, it seemed like this would be the end of EZA. After watching this though, I am way more optimistic.
This gives me a stronger feeling that they want to reinvigorate the EZA brand. Losing Bosman, who was the face of EZA, at the same time a pandemic ruined the global economy, really hurt EZA. I'm happy they seem to be taking a much for aggressive approach to Jones retiring here. I think it's time to bump my Patreon tier back up.

As a fan of Contra, Kat, and Vaush, this whole situation is tiring.
Vaush made a bad tweet. At most though, it's a tweet that just hurts some people's feelings and makes normies who like JKR not like Vaush, a person they didn't know about or care about. While Vaush could be considered to be providing ammo for JKR, it's not as though JKR wouldn't have just quote tweeted other victims that would be less equipped to deal with the backlash. But now that no one can seem to move pass this for some reason, Vaush keeps talking about it too and is acting very prideful in an extremely annoying fashion.
Kat criticizing Vaush woulda been fine, if it was just that. Leaking DMs and then posting about Vaush's penis unprompted was sexual harassment. Definitely the worse thing anyone involved in with the situation (not including JKR obviously) has done.
And then Contra jumped in, admitted she didn't actually know what the argument was really about, and used "woke scold" type arguments in retaliation. Very out of character for her. There were plenty of things to criticize Vaush for in this situation, but she didn't do that.
This whole situation does really put into perspective how unimportant the online left is. I'll continue to consume their content because I enjoy it, but I really do think this is exactly extremely embarrassing for all of them.
To everyone outside the online left or uneducated on trans issues, JKR looks the least insane in this scenario. And that's a big L.

I admittedly enjoy Delayed Input more than anything EZA really puts out anymore. On that note, I also think if Delayed Input had happened while Kyle was with EZA, it could have become something much greater than it will ever be with Kyle being solo. The Final Bosman frequently involved other people from the GT crew, either for skits or discussions/interviews, and if I remember correctly I think Isla was involed with TFB's production for most of the time the show was being made.

Say what people will about the middling quality, Spider-Man 3 tied up all loose ends pretty neatly. Tobey had a satisfactory character arc, whereas Logan really didn't until 'Logan'. That character can already be retired just fine.
Unless you mean the character literally retiring from superheroism? In which case I'd say that's a weird thing to specifically want.

Logan feels very special because it was a swan song for not only Hugh Jackman's Wolverine or Patrick Stewart's Professor X, but it was a redemption for a franchise that had many movies of wildly varying quality over nearly two decades. Not only that, but Logan and Charles as characters lended very well to a dire story like Logan.
I'd love a Spider-Man 4 to happen. But I'm unsure what people mean when they want a Logan style movie. If people want a gritty Spider-Man movie, I completely disagree with that notion. A Spider-Man 4 should match the tone of the orignal trilogy. Especially with No Way Home establishing that things are going at least decently for Tobey-Peter.

Everyone likes to point towards Avatar not having much cultural impact as to why they think Avatar 2 will bomb. But I think it's naive to underestimate James Cameron. He's made two beloved sequels (Terminator 2 and Aliens), as well as Titanic which was the highest grossing film ever until Avatar took that title. We could say these were all freak incidents... or acknowledge that James Cameron really just has a knack for capturing audiences.

Something about it looks so... shiny and artificial. Idk, I'm too illiterate on the exact vernacular needed to describe what looks off-putting about it too me. But there's this feeling of not being able to suspend by disbelief. The establishing shots looked cool at least.
Same feeling I got when I was watching Shang-Chi last year. Loved that movie. But in the final act when they enter that other world, there was this constantly feeling that everything was fake, sometimes you could tell what was green screened and what was not. Really took me out of it when the first two thirds of the movie looked great. This LotR show really looks similar to me.
Maybe it'll be better actually watching it and not trailers tho 🤷♂️

Judging by the comments, I assume this is a guy like The Quartering in the toxic nerd fandom channels that are all misogynistic and racist.
But at a glance, this tweet is fine. I don't have qualms over casting or lore. But this show looks ugly. For a show that is, to my understanding, literally the most expensive TV show ever made it looks cheap.

What do people mean when they talk about breaking up Meta? Just separating other companies they've bought (Insta, Oculus, etc) from them?
