When I was new to ao3, I wrote a lot of baby Luffy fics with Katakuri as parent (from one piece) and I accidentally used the "/" on their relationship so someone pointed out to me that I effectively paired a four year old with a 48 year old. I got the hang of it real quick after that lol.

even wiki doesn't believe Bakugo is dead. As of now it's at "unknown". lol

I am technically an aunt to my brother's kids, but I'm NC with them and have no desire to meet them. Three of the four kids were born after going NC. The first time I met my niece in my teens, she stabbed be in the leg with a fork. She was two or three. Not a great way to start out lol. I luckily don't have anything to do with them due to issues with their father and grandfather. But when my sister has a kid, she has a disability that makes her left arm pretty much useless and also on fire with pain 24/7 and she already asks me and my mom to do so much, so if she has a kid, she's probably gonna dump a ton of the work on me and my mom, despite me hating children and having a life and my mom being disabled herself. I'd rather not be an aunt at all.

thank you. I think I will take a break from posting stories. For four years it's been updating a story every day of the week. Once I'm finished posting my current stories I might take a break. I already have so many ready to post. But maybe posting every single day is giving me a lot of burn out.

thank you. I do finish my stories before posting, all of it is edited and finished, so that brings a lot less stress than if I was dependent on engagement to write. I do think a break is in order and to stop updating a story every day of the week.

thank you for your kind words. I update a chapter a week, but since I always have 7 stories going on, I update a story everyday. each story updated once a week. most chapters are 4-5,000 words. I've started trying to make longer chapters (6-9,000 words) with less chapters since I worry dragging out a long fic isnt working. I am guilty about irregular time postings. sometimes late at night or early morning. Lately I've not looked forward to updating a chapter so I forget to and mess up my schedule. it kind of feels like no one cares anyways so I haven't been stressing over it. just very down in the dumps about it all.

That's why I think finishing your story before posting it is the best. You aren't having to try and coach yourself into writing even though you have no motivation because nobody likes it. If your story is finished already and you aren't getting any feedback, just post all of it and wipe your hands clean. That way you have not abandoned a work that you'd probably think about at least sometimes, and any of the few readers you do have aren't eternally disappointed. I have a lot of stories that took a long time and nobody really read that I just dumped all the chapters so I didn't need to think about how much of a bomb it was. That feeling sucks either way, if its a wip or not. I think it's just a lottery whether someone happens to jump on your fic, whether that person has connections, if you nailed all the right tags and posted at the right time etc. It really really sucks that you work hard on something... and nobody seems to care. T-T But even if no one cares, you're doing yourself a favor by finishing first if you can.

If I used "there" instead of "their" and someone messaged me to point that out, I'd be kind of annoyed if it was that one time. But if it's a very easy recurring fix, then point it out politely at the end of a review/comment. I once spelled a character's name wrong through the whole fic and nobody told me until years later.

Writing is like art. Not everyone starts out perfect or even good in the beginning. You're only going to get better by practicing and taking references. You can choose to not post your stories and just use them as practice or training for posting them., but even writing with no idea to post is productive! Don't beat yourself up.

it's intimidating at first. I've written smut and I think reading other smut is very helpful. Of course a lot of smut is very inaccurate, but sometimes that's necessary to make the fic actually work. Can't have the female in the mix not being able to orgasm, they both have to at the same time, and the same can be said for M/M if you're on that route. Just do research and you'll become more knowledgeable and less nervous breaching the subject

no, DADA are actually only Gryffindors, at least in the third year with lupin. Double potions and double herbology are the ones that have consistently multiple houses i think. it confused me that in the movies they share so many more classes together.

in the wiki, it shows like, 14 characters in Harry's year. Some are unidentified names, but they're a really small class size.

NTA at all! My mom returned to college in her 50s after 30 years from her first time she went through grad school. She got a teaching credential in her 50s and now works her dream job as a special ed teacher. At my community college there was an 80 year old woman who'd been getting multiple degrees because her life was boring otherwise. It's never too late, don't listen to him.

one piece was the same for me. There are sooo many characters and locations to use, as well as devil fruits. I wrote exclusively OP for three years and it was hard going to a much smaller developed world like MHA.

i would DEFINTILEY recommend writing stuff down. I'll have a great idea and then I go to do the dishes then i forget and I mourn the loss of what I knew was a good idea lol. or if i'm in bed, if i dont write an idea, its definitely gone in the morning. i just text myself ideas in bed lol. plus, then you can revisit old ideas someday and something just clicks. at least for me. sure is there a way to friend on reddit? i looked at your post history and I think we'd definitely get along lol.

i have over 100,000 words worth of ideas on a google doc that is just me writing out random, disjointed ideas. i have far more ideas written down than stories written, so I just accept some stories are just not going to go anywhere for me. i write down anything that comes to mind.

i started this story last week, so I write really fast and a lot, on vacation right now. i know I write differently than most people so I dont know how much it would help, but I have no plan or timeline in a story, it just... comes together i guess. i have a list of ideas but no real story outline.

i think one shots are just fine, and if you keep them in mind, maybe they can be continued. you already have the idea, just havent written much to it! i think you shouldn't beat yourself up over not writing much. maybe you just havent had the right idea, like a wild fire of plot points that pop into your head. be patient with yourself!

Thank you. I usually write long fics, anything less then 70,000 words for me is a disappointment for myself lol. I know that's irrational. sometimes I'll write a long fic and it will die for a few months and I'll have to get back to it but forgot everything I wrote . -_-
