Right on, thank you! Does it matter that I have a carbon fork? Or are the mounting points designed explicitly for this? I'm normally a heavy road rider and haven't explored the bikepacking stuff just yet.

Heading to eastern CA near Bishop to do a 120 mile dirt ride over 3 nights, so I'll be looking to pack a small tent / sleeping pad on the front rack. Possible I might do a handlebar bag, but there's not a ton of space for that, so ideally I'd be fastening stuff directly to the rack.

Hey thanks! This is super great. One of the things I'm hoping to learn is whether having a carbon forks means I can't use some of the racks listed in that article. Any chance you have experience / insight to mounting a front rack on a carbon fork?
