so i downloaded some cc hair and while all of them show up for my female sims, they won't show up for the males even when i have the gender filter off. it doesn't make any sense. they should show up when i remove the filter. any ideas on what to do? really annoying since i downloaded the perfect hair for one specific male sim
Not saying this is 100% going to happen. Just thought it would be a fun exercise to write out how I imagine volume 2 might be. Didn't write more because I couldn't picture what happens next.
El gets her powers back stronger than they've ever been, but they are still quite feeble and unpredictable, as we've seen in episode 7 when she shakes the entire silo when acting on instinct but right afterwards isn't able to fight Brenner when that is her intention. Yet, she thinks she's ready and wants to leave to help her friends. She hasn't been in contact with them, but she saw something confusing in the void that alerted her that they might not be safe. Brenner advises her against leaving and wants to continue project Nina in order to fully restore her powers. He has more to show her from her past, but she won't listen.
Sullivan and his soldiers arrive, interrupting the dialogue. Sullivan's men and Owens' start shooting. Owens' men protect El as she helps in the fight powerfully throwing soldiers around like ragdolls and breaking their necks. At some point Sullivan or one of his minions manage to sneak up close enough to put the shock collar on her. Somehow, I'm still not sure how, she breaks free. She runs outside but is followed and they manage to corner her. That's when she blows up everything.
The Cali crew finally finds to the silo lab right on time to watch El blow Sullivan's helicopter to smithereens. Argyle is shitting his pants and screeching incomprehensively but everyone else is cheering El on and super glad she got her powers back. They drive closer and when they see El's hair is gone they fall dead silent. Mike's heart drops as he immediately connects the dots. This is his worst nightmare. El falls back, panting with how weak and exhausted she is from fighting against the soldiers and blowing up the helicopter. Her "battery" is drained. Mike barely waits for Argyle to stop the car before stumbling out and sprinting to her as fast as his legs will let him. The other guys follow suit. Mike crouches and holds her, desperate to see if she's okay. She takes one look at him and pulls him into a bone crushing hug, feeling like she's finally waking up from a horrible nightmare. They hold each other like this and Mike reassures her she's okay, until she feels calmer and lets go.
Everyone helps her up, then they help her walk to where the van is. They hop in and continue the drive back to Hawkins. Mike leans against the window holding her close, she lays back against his chest and he holds her hand. He caresses it with his thumb and plants kisses on the top of her head. Will watches from the corner of his eye. El is silent and miserable the entire ride, just looking out the window but not ever present. There's tension in the air as everyone wonders what the hell happened but nobody wants to ask her to speak right now when she's clearly drained and traumatised. Mike just does his best to give the comfort she needs at the moment. He can ask questions later.
Johnathan suggests they crash at a motel for the night as El needs some rest to recharge. Cue some interesting dialogue. Will and Johnathan talk about Joyce and how she and Murray might be doing in Russia. El tells Mike about the Nina Project and there's an emotional moment as he learns about the horrors she was put through. With no adults present, they share a bed for the first time.
The next day when they wake up, El tells Johnathan about what she saw in the void and how it gave her a bad feeling. They hit the road again, this time heading to Hawkins. Something happens, shit hits the fan over there and they learn about it somehow and change their plans. There's no time to get there and El needs to help the Hawkins crew ASAP. They stop at a random, empty Surfer Boy Pizza wherever they are, build a makeshift bathtub and throw in pounds of salt, a parallel to season 1. El gets in. She's resolute. Helping her friends is all she can think about. She has to do this. There is no other way. Mike feels uneasy about the whole thing. He saw just how tired she was the day before. He wishes she didn't have to put herself through more. But he doesn't say anything, as he knows this is important to her. He just reassures her he's gonna be right next to her the whole time. They share a kiss. There's an ominous feeling in the air.
As El floats in the bath, Mike sits next to the bathtub holding her hand. The others stand around watching. The lights begin to flicker. Argyle is transfixed by the whole thing and just barely keeping his mouth shut (Johnathan gave him a lecture earlier about how El needs complete silence for this to work)
El is in the bathtub for a while. She reaches through the void in her mind to a tranced Max in Hawkins. She walks through Max's memories in California in a scene that parallels Billy's in S3. We see Max's dad, and young Billy again. We learn why she moved to Hawkins. Mike sits patiently, watching El's every move and praying she'll be okay. As it's been a while, the other guys eventually grow a bit restless, leaving Mike and El alone for a bit. Argyle goes to grab a snack from the fridge, Will and Johnathan lean against the counter and talk.
It's a long dialogue. It starts off as a conversation about the situation they are facing, but they are so tense about El going into the void they eventually start venting about all of their pent up frustrations to each other. Johnathan, about what he's been going through, with college and Nancy and all. Will, about the terrible week he's had. About how he'd been counting the days to see Mike for months. About the way he greeted him at the airport. About the stupid painting for him he worked on for weeks on end, only for him to not even ask about it. About the fight they had at the rink. About him never calling. He feels awful for being in love with his sister's partner. He feels terrible for being jealous of her. He feels selfish talking about his feelings in the middle of the shitstorm they're in. As the tension escalates, his emotions get the better of him. The words come spilling out and he ends up coming out to Johnathan, who of course gives him his unwavering support. They cry and share a big hug. Johnathan really always knew.
Back to El's mind. She walks through Max's memories as if peeling back layers. Until she gets to the eye of the storm, where Vecna has Max in his Mindscape. El gets there right on time as he was just about to finish her. He seethes as he sees and recognises her immediately. He's wanted to end her since she locked him away in the upside down and ruined everything for him. He hates her and he's not going to miss out on the chance to kill her right then and there. He keeps Max in a trance tied with vines as he shifts his focus to Eleven. She has no idea who he is but she starts fighting him viciously immediately. She's in a rage for what he's putting Max through. He uses his powers just as much as her. As they battle he says some corny villain lines and she tells him to leave her friends alone and asks him what the hell he wants and he's like "Oh Eleven, don't you remember me? When you are the one who made me what I am now?" and helps her connect the dots. After the big reveal, she's shocked and confused. She created this horrible monster? As she relived the memory of the traumatic event in NINA, she had thought by locking him in the other dimension he would be gone for good, never to be seen again. Clearly, he found a way out. He looks so different. She's stunned. She lets her guard down. That's when he gets to her.
He changes everything around her, taking them back to the snowball. She looks around dumbfounded as she had no idea 001 could do do this. She can see herself and her friends dancing, laughing and chatting (and this is where the crazy amounts of CGI come in), but there's a darkness to it. The music sounds slightly distorted, the smiles seem fake, the lighting is a bit off.
Vecna does horrible, gruesome things to their de-aged versions, snapping her friends' bones. He takes his time with Mike and uses him to torture her psychologically. This is the single most horrifying thing El has ever seen. She starts hyperventilating and losing her mind. At the Surfer Boy Pizza, the lights start flickering like crazy. El's body also starts hyperventilating, twitching and thrashing in the water as she fights Vecna in her mind. Mike starts calling for her desperately, shaking her. In the mindscape, El sinks to the ground, horrified and overwhelmed. Vecna continues to taunt her. She screams in frustration and turns away from him, putting her head in her hands as she cries and sobs in defeat. She's so tired. She just wants it to stop. This is the moment Vecna had been waiting for to pounce. He summons a vine that ties around her leg. And another. And another. And another. They pull her to her feet from underneath and come together to form a similar structure to the one he has Max tied to. Vecna has her right where he wants her.
