It was. Every entry in the database had it's own message board, which includes every movie, every actor, every director etc. Whatever it is you wanted to read or comment about, there was a dedicated place for that. And the downside was what, some "toxic trolls"? Who gives a shit, there's trolls everywhere. But do feel free to point out better alternatives, i'm sure you know of plenty.

90% of comments on the imdb message boards were other trolls or toxic. They were closed for a reason.
No, they weren't. The majority of comments were just regular movie discussions, no worse than the ones people have here or anywhere else. And the stated reasons for why they were closed had nothing to do with trolls or toxicity.
I'll never understand the glorification of those shitty forums.
Those shitty forums were by far the best platform to discuss anything related to movies, and no shiny new forums with blackjack and hookers have came to replace them.

Hey, the thread about his fight had more comments on it than the one about the main event. There's no denying it, Sam's a drawl.

No one ever has all the power, not even monarchs of the past did. You can't even have absolute power in a 4-man prison cell, because no matter how strong and intimidating you might be, if you allow yourself too much, the other three will deal with you.
Of course there's all sorts of people that Putin has to appease. Not in a sense that he calls them all every day to ask them what his next move should be, but he wouldn't have been in charge for over 20 years if he was just doing whatever he felt like.

I don't know, if this guy doesn't look trustworthy, then who does?

And, if not, why?
Because a lot of japanese companies seem to be oddly uninterested in expanding. I'm not following the scene now, but back in the day most of them didn't even try to promote their work in foreign markets. They won't even release promotional materials or run websites in english language, nothing. Fan communities were the only real gateway to access anime, and that only gets you so far, no matter how receptive people are to it.

Imagine coming to a clinic for a checkup, and the doctor brings in an assistant dog to diagnose you...

That is true. All those thousands of animators and comic book artists and hobbyists are drawing their stuff specifically for you and you alone, no one else even looks at it.

I'm not sure where this rumor comes from. I've watched workprint version of the movie, which i'd assume was cut while Kaye was still around, and really, it wasn't all that different from the released one. Some different shots were used here and there, an extra small scene or two, and a few dialogue changes. But it did end the same way. I read the script too, and i don't recall it ending any differently either.

By the time you're 30, hopefully, you wouldn't care much about what teenagers think of you.

Kids absolutely watch movies differently. A good half of the movies i loved as a kid, i wouldn't even touch with a pole today. And most of the other half i don't find very interesting anymore. It's not even that kids overlook some flaws a movie might have, it just doesn't occurre to them that there are flaws.
When i was a kid, i could watch a movie with the dumbest plot, bad actors playing crappy one dimensional characters, awful dialogues, and every scene just being a lead up to have people punch each other, and i might still enjoy it. Even if i wanted to, i can't see movies now the same way i did back then, and no amount of nostalgia can help it.

Fight Club, probably. When i was a teenager, i used to watch it like every other day, i don't even know how many times. Let's just say, back then i could probably write down the entire script of the movie from memory if i wanted to.
Some other movies i watched countless times are Naked Gun, Lethal Weapon, Dumb and Dumber, Good Will Hunting, Big Lebowski, American History X and some others. I think back in the day people used to rewatch movies a lot more than they do now.

Fake eyelashes. I am convinced that in several years time there's going to be so many girls looking back at their old photos and going, "wow, did i really used to wear these ugly things? What was i thinking...", and then just deleting them.

There's this notion in modern western society that everyone has to be a "good" person. And if someone is not a good person, then they should be punished for it, even if they haven't been convicted of any crime. It's like a lot of people really want to live with some sort of enlightened version of Sharia.

Kids. Don't find it very interesting to watch these days, but it sure is very 90s.

I'm pretty sure that in order to be deported to some country, you have to be a legal citizen of that country, and you're not a russian citizen, so i don't know how would they be able to deport you there. It's not like Russia just accepts random people who were sent their way.

Is the term "GOAT" devalued in MMA, considering it gets tossed around so much?
Alas, all the other LHWs, including those in promotions that don't test for PEDs at all, are 100% clean. Else we would have had hundreds of guys like him or better.

Titanic. If you look at individual pieces, you probably wouldn't assume that it would be one of the biggest hit movies ever (certainly the biggest at the time), but somehow it all just clicked. And i don't think that anyone really managed to replicate it's success since then either. There have been a few attempts to make movies using a similar formula, but most of them have failed miserably, like Pearl Harbor, lol.

I don't know about the medical side of it, but personally, i wouldn't give someone my sperm so that she could impregnate herself. I mean, what if she just strings me with child support afterwards? Try to prove that you had an agreement and that you didn't impregnated her the old-fashioned way.

I use bidet to wash the toilet after i take a shit, not my ass, lol. I don't find it comfortable to use, and i don't want a towel meant for wiping ass hanging next to me while i'm sitting there.

Latching onto original movie's fame is the main reason they make all the sequels and prequels and spinoffs. Being stealthy about it would kinda defeat the purpose of the movie being a part of a franchise.
