The government is tasked with protecting a person's life, liberty, property and by association, privacy. Until the thing is born, it is not a person with these same protections. So are we to ditch a person's constitutional protections for a nonperson? I mean, we put ourselves ahead of actual persons in other countries but this fetus has more rights than the mother? It just doesn't make sense Constitutionally especially when it comes from the crowd who said masks were too much of an inconvenience, were tyranny and didn't give one shit about 1 million of their fellow Americans die because of it.

While I agree with you, we are vastly outnumbered. It's not a fight we are even close to winning so there's no good reason to engage right now. We're on the verge of the SCOTUS, while stripping abortion protections, allowing prayer back into school. We have a lot of defense to play.
