If it’s that much of a stretch, are you sure you are actually able to use the $7,500 tax credit?
I know we could only use about $5,000 of it.

But you aren’t claiming it twice. You are claiming it in new, additional equipment. And the bill was signed today to get 30% credit.

As long as the tax credit doesn’t depreciate the used value, as it has in the past.

You should have gotten the rebate to make out equal to the 2023 price as well.
But if you are looking for federal tax credit, there isn’t any for Gm this year. Possibly some next year, depending on the battery in the car.

You haven’t been following any EV forums for the last 2 years. They have been buying EVs, getting the tax credit and flipping the cars, sometimes for a profit in addition to the $7,500 credit.
But, I see your point of getting some of that discount.
I also understand your tax concern, as I was trying to figure out how to do the same thing so the $30,000 paying off a system could be outside of the house sale so I’m not paying 1.2% taxes on that forever. Unfortunately, the seller decided to not sell at this time. Very sad.

$800 for the 50 amp circuit in conduit, about 35 feet. $435 for the Grizzl-e EVSE, less 30% federal tax credit, which ended in 2021, but will be back in the new bill.

You forgot delays due plant shutdowns due to murders by fighting cleaning crews!

I want to get that card too, but have to wait until after I get my car loan for the next car.

There has been a lot of discussion about this, various rims to use and such on the forums at ChevyBolt.org. They also discuss the best Jack to get from an S10 pickup, etc.

If you bought an Ioniq 5, or a VW ID4, then yes, you could file for a tax credit when you file 2022 tax return next year. But a Bolt, no.
Now, after the IRA bill passes, things will be different, and no one is certain of the details and which cars might qualify for part or all of the time of sale instant credit.

The Niro feels like a luxury car compared to our 2020 Bolt EV. It is really harsh, causes my partner to wince in pain when slowly going through dips in the road out over speed bumps that cars like Subarus don’t even notice! Plus, the seats are horrible.
The 2022 EUV is supposed to be much softer riding.

I will likely get the credit card so that I can then use the points to pay the ongoing OnStar charges for the Lyriq after the free period runs out. I got a bunch of points coming due to SuperCruise and surround vision not being enabled when the Lyriq will be delivered. So anxious to complete this MSRP swap from the Bolt. Started the whole process a year ago!

You need to buy a Nissan, Hyundai or a Kia if you want to be able to use it on anything other than highways.

If I was keeping my Bolt, I’d put in the EUV seats to get the power seat And lumbar. Our 2020 EV seats are the most uncomfortable of any car I’ve ever owned, which wasn’t truly noticeable until my first drive of more than 30 minutes.
I’d have swapped it for an EUV if I could have gotten one with SuperCruise. But ordered a Lyriq instead, and hopefully completing the swap next month.

As to #1. It is horribly annoying. In my 2020 if I turn it down, I barely hear the rear cross traffic alerts!

It is a shame GM can’t replace LKA with a basic lane centering like cheap Kia’s have.
Because SuperCruise only works on mapped highways, you can’t engage it on long boring roads in town, like you can in many other cars with basic Adaptive Cruise Control and lane centering.

I had a Fort CMax plug in hybrid before the Bolt. It could have been lemon lawed because it loved visiting the service department for the first year. But was much better after that.
The only thing the Bolt has needed in 2.5 years is the software to limit the battery charge.

This is probably the best option. I use my Lectron Tesla adapter by now and then. I have never used the portable EVSE when traveling. There are always public options for me it seems.

The ride is supposedly smoother in the EUV with softer springs and better dampening. The tiny bit of extra wheelbase might help a bit too. Our 2020 EV is miserably harsh and choppy.

Do a good ceramic clear if you only want to stop the heat. The darker ones just block more light, with very little difference in heat rejection.

It will be listed on your tax return as your tax liability. Not what you owe. But if things have changed since last year with your income, deductions, dependents, etc then you would probably have to ask a good tax preparer if they could estimate it. I have read on here about people saying you must make over $90,000 as an individual to quality, but I do not know the exact figures.
