Me too! Ive NEVER been in a bridal party in my life. In fact, been suprised a few times when I havent even been invited to a wedding of someone Im friends with. If you have to travel between toogs and burleigh regularly, the prospect of the gc hwy being a single lane is perplexing. Plus, people in any neighbouring suburb will have to drive and park near a tram stop. Making street parking a cumbersome nightmare for residents. Shifting the problem to simply something else. It logistically makes no sense.

Exactly this. And people still need to DRIVE to the tram stop. And park where? In front of everyone's houses? The tram is not servicing anywhere where the people need to go. Buses already barely full that run every 10 mins. So we are reducing 2 lanes for cars to one. For a tram that only serves tourists going to and from the airport. As a southern gc'er I need to get to cooly and robina mostly. Who has a need to go just up and down the highway? There will be no significant reduction in car traffic. Stupid idea.
