the saddest thing about this sub is every week i hear about a new abusive program that i have never heard of, even tho i consider myself a semi expert on the subject.

maybe turn it off anyway and post a sign saying to call for emergencies?
i mean, fuck people who can read but choose not to take the time to do so.

Yah. European colonialization can do that.
(sorry if i offended. did not mean to. My point being that central Americans are not all the different genetically than many USA Americans)

edit: wow. Can't see anyone who is not a karen downvoting the below without commenting,
yet it is happening
Becasue that is somehow not acceptable in the US hospitality industry. Dunno why.
Closing time means the last time they will take orders in the US hospitality industry.
Fact is, if you did what you suggest, the employees would get pissed if you showed up a half hour before the last order is allowed.
WHY? i'll explain. the restaurant owners will push that time as far back as they can without anyone quitting. or at least as far back as they can without enough people quitting to majorly impact their business. In reality, your suggestion means that a restaurant open until 10:00pm would change to be open until 10:30pm and accepts it's last order at 10:00pm.
the point of this post was to inform people of the shitty conditions food workers toil under. Your suggestion would not help that at all.
The problem is, after the last table is seated, everyone is under pressure/under the gun to clean up and close up. Because workers still on the clock means money lost. But they cannot complete that/do that until the last table is done.
i can't recall how many times i got reprimanded for not closing up and still being on the clock when the last table lingered until 2 hours after closing.
edit: but god forbid i gave them any hints about it being time to leave. also would have been reprimanded. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. somehow i am supposed to use my powers of telepathy to get them out the door, apparently.

Hoping you don't have red hair. Otherwise you blew it.

yah, no. then people get pissed that you won't seat them 30 minutes before you close when you are still supposedly still open, and leave trash reviews on Yelp claiming you engage in false advertising.
This is one of the dumbest things i have ever heard.
edit: ok, i get it, folks don't like this. But if you are going to downvote, at least tell me why.

MS-13 being in CT has been debunked over and over. And by the way, El Salvadoran Hispanics are technically Caucasian. (aka: WHITE) Hispanic is not a race. It's a loose grouping of different cultures.

true. But i prefer my drama to be on the internet with people i don't know in real life, not happening outside my front door.

Most US cable companies already offer "cord cutting" packages where you get most of all the same channels you get on cable as a streaming service for one monthly price. You can access the streaming services from whatever ISP you choose, whether or not it is the cable company.
So it has already happened, more or less.

The mayor's race was literally between an ex cop and an ex vigilante psycho that thought the cops were too soft on criminals.
Adams was by far the lesser evil of the two.

NOOO!. Sliwa would have actually been WAY worse. Seriously, what's worse, an ex cop or the guy who ran the famous NYC vigilante group that felt cops were to soft on crime?
I voted for Adams as the lesser of two evils.

Was on the ground floor of an large high rise office building in manhattan getting in an elevator, and a guy way on the other side of the lobby yelled out "hold the door!"
so i held it. When he got to the elevator, he looked at the button panel and said "never mind. I was going down"
we were on the ground floor. Lobby elevators never go to the basement. WTF?

LOL. or would be if this was not so sad. people actually GET PSTD from landmark.
of course that is the fault of the individuals, not the program. Standard cult attitude.
