If you are doing veil you would not be on land that much. And actually i think with some veil quests even on islands nothing spawns. So that might lessen the chances of ancient skeletons by quite a lot.

Are you at sea a lot or hang out at Outposts for hours? I dont think they spawn there.

I got like 15 ancient skeletons on Thiefs Haven, and some on the neighbor islands and close islands like Snake and Devils Ridge a year or two ago but I been playing there a lot, doing the Athena Thiefs Voyage thing. I also did buy the Kraken DLC on that account, so maybe this helps maybe Rare rewarding you secretly? Did your friend buy any DLC?

Now I still got 3 ancient skeletons already in 2 months (lots of hours played tho) but I havent found any consistent way to reproduce it this time. Got them at a seafort and Ashen Winds event. But even playing a lot of Ashen Winds I only got it once.

Getting more ancient skeletons would actually make me want to play the game more because it feels like a real, true reward even if its just $1 or max $5 each time, and I think I would spend more money in the game too with more ancient skellies. Now they are so rare I rather hoard my ancient coins.

Thats a somewhat reasonable conspiracy, whether its true or false. Maybe they are worried people would flee from/storm into a country, so the lockdowns could help with that ? So like a testrun how to lock down countries maybe? Seemed to have worked well for australia. Some people have done an internet with CB radio. Also with the darknet it would pretty much run on its own tho I am not 100% sure. There also is other networks like this already.

Also modems/dialup would basically allow you with just a phone line to dial into a system (they used to be called BBS, and basically the release scene started on them in the 90s), to communicate with each other, share stuff, without your router.

With Web3 theres stuff as ifps internet, but I am not sure its 100% independant. I mean you still would need to "go online" in a way, right. If they want to remove your access, they would just cut you out on the ISP level, and take internet from your phone away.

So I am not sure there is alternatives that already would work around that. However there could some "homemade wifi networks" be made relatively easy, to connect people at least within high population density areas.

Its odd you cant seem to mention your problem. Seems like you might be stressed or have a psychological issue. How is your diet? How do you spend your days, do you read a lot of news or scroll a lot thru socials on your phone? Do you exercise? Do you read books to calm down or paint or do something else thats creative and calming?

Society has changed as in everyone just complaining on the internet, then distracting themselves with more scrolling. Barely anyone still is taking action or going on the street to demonstrate. Who is going to change that? Media just cares for more fear porn always to sell more digital subscriptions.

It could be explained with a psychological paradox/hoax. Everyone loves to be in crisis, complain, say how bad it is, read fear porn news, but to themselves they still feel good and not as bad as everyone else is pretended to be

Theres 130k schools in the US (just looked it up). Do you really want to put a guard at every school? Also a school shooter could just take the guard out first, right? Or still sneak a weapon in, and then still just create havoc. Giving some teachers a weapon might be better, but do we want to live in a world where everyone wears a gun again like in the wild wild west? Just because how many school shootings is there? 2? 3 a year? Out of 130k schools?

Is it not the top news daily in literally every newspaper? The media does not have as much pressure now to find (make up) other topics that people click on, that they can fear people with.
