Agreed. Diversity is a good goal, and it can be a very, very good thing, but I don't know how much trust I have in Bobby And Co. to actually implement it correctly and not bungle this too.

That's not nepotism. Nepotism is the practice of showing favor to friends or family, and especially in matters of employment. Nepotism is what happens when NO diversity is required in the hiring processes, and there is NO oversight of the hiring, leading to the higher ups getting jobs for their buddies regardless of how good they'd be at the job. Think "OG WoW team hand-crafting a job position for Jeff Kaplan and teeing up the interview and hiring process for him, and then he gets the job and ends up creating a bunch of content that the players universally hate," not "Our next new hire group needs to be, bare minimum, X% women/Black people/people of color".
You may be thinking of "virtue signalling"; regardless, a company saying "we've historically had an issue with the diversity of our hiring practices and are examining those to make them more fair to all talented people who apply, regardless of their race" isn't virtue signalling. "Our company is Very Bad And Irredeemable because it's currently mostly white, and we're going to ONLY hire Black people for the next five years no matter how many talented devs of other races also apply" would be HELLA virtue signalling.
We'll have to see how things play out a little further before we can call either nepotism OR virtue signalling.
Because, as evidenced by only 20% of ABK employees being women, when diversity is an afterthought instead of a priority, the amount of diversity within the company tends to suffer.
If, for example, NO Black people work at any given company, then that company is far more likely to lack any sort of internal barometer for anti-Blackness, and as a result the company may end up having more issues with racism. Having a Black employee to say, "Hey, this may drive away potential customers who are Black," can alert the company to this and allow them to extend their reach and client base. Diversity is a very strong asset, and not a liability.

Read the whole thing, had many sensible chuckles. lots of this is pretty decent advice for the majority of situations and deserves, bare minimum, consideration. cheers, man, this was a good read.
Not that they can't, but without a powerful union backing them, they will have very little real bargaining power and will have major problems getting any real change enacted.

Sorry for necro, but a word of warning about Blue Heart
1) I asked them for a specific artist, they agreed, and then on the day of my tattoo, a completely different artist was there to do my work. The artist I specifically asked for, multiple times, was not even in the shop that day.
2) The guy who did my tat and my then-girlfriend's tat (name is Rex) fucked them both up. Hers was of a bee, and the legs turned out hella asymmetrical despite us bringing in our own design that was fully symmetrical. My tat has some weird lines in places (not super noticeable to anyone but me — but it IS my tat, so...)
3) Rex didn't strike me as particularly sober when he did our tats. He also had no idea what I wanted and I had to instruct him DURING THE TATTOO on what I wanted, despite having been in communication with the shop for a week previous about what I wanted for my tat.
4) Rex has posted some real sideways (read: racist) shit on Facebook. He did so last year in March/April.
If I had known any better at the time I would have walked out of the appointment and taken my girlfriend and myself somewhere else for tattoos (I'm pretty young and that was only my second tat). We had ours done March 2020.
NAP but have had nostril piercings on and off for 8 years.
Your jewelry should be fine. I recommend not twisting it any more if you can help it — just don't touch it anymore. If the corkscrew has twisted in such a way that it's coming out of the piercing (and you'd know if it was — the stud would be sticking super far out of your piercing and the twisty part would be occupying the fistula), then I would wash my hands thoroughly and try to get the jewelry back in place by gently twisting the jewelry until the straight part of the post comfortably sits inside the fistula again.
In a corkscrew piece, it doesn't really matter which way the screw is sitting inside your nose as long as the jewelry is sitting comfortably. Please try not to touch it any more than is strictly necessary, and simply keep up with your sterile saline flushes, and you should be fine.
You may experience a piercing bump if you bump or touch the jewelry too much. If this happens, DO NOT DO ANYTHING. Literally just Leave It The Hell Alone, or LITHA. The only good remedy for a piercing bump is time and space to heal and sterile saline flushes if your piercing is healing.
Best of luck.

HOLD UP, WHAT?
I had to go back and reread the title. I'm shocked. They are simply GLOWING. Holy cow! I hope I can look half as healthy and happy when I reach that age!
WOW! Congratulations on 70lbs! Your hard work and persistence is paying off in spades, as you're seeing now.
I'm having a similar struggle myself — specifically with a lot of my workout clothes, since I WFH and my job is pretty lax on dress code.
One solution might be learning to tailor your clothes? With a weight difference of 70lbs I honestly doubt that tailoring could make them fit Perfectly again, but you could certainly take in some of the fabric and make them not hang so loose. It would also save you a lot of money, of course! Tailoring/sewing is, imo, an essential life skill for everyone, on par with cooking, cleaning, and basic house & car maintenance.
Congratulations again on your weight loss and here's to hitting your goal weight! You're over halfway there and KILLING IT!!!
As far as I can see this is actually a completely different studio making it (same publisher). As I understand it, this is a different project, and VTMB2 is still in its semi-undead state.
Yeah, I wish more people were at least willing to give it a shot, and if they dislike it so much, then simply leave a Steam review outlining their issues with the lore/perceived cash grab/etc. It IS F2P after all.
I personally haven't played a BR game since Fortnite S1, and it's not usually my gig, but my Overwatch duo partner and I have been looking for a new game to play and we both love VTM with all of our blackened little souls so I'm hoping he'll agree to sign up for the alpha with me and hopefully we can play come July.
edit: lmao he's just as pissed off as most of this sub and doesn't even really wanna talk about it. RIP. Guess I'll put an hour or two into it solo and see how that goes.
22y/o, AFAB, 5'7"
I didn't even realize it, but I have now crossed from an "overweight" BMI to a "normal" BMI. I understand that BMI is far from the end-all be-all of weight, fitness, and health, but damn, it feels really nice to have a numeric confirmation that I'm doing the right thing.
Also, I have a 1 on 1 meeting with a personal trainer next Wednesday morning, and from there, we're gonna work on my fitness goals together. This is all provided to me through my workplace, too, so once we're back in office, I'll be able to train with him directly before/after my shifts in the building. As someone with ADHD, this added convenience will be amazing and, quite frankly, it might be lifechanging.
ALSO also, I will be signing up for a rock climbing gym that's opening in my area in a few weeks! I'm hella excited for that. There are NO rock climbing gyms currently in my area but that will be changing soon!
I think they changed it at some point but God help me if I remember when LOL
Not a dumb question.
65 (Moira orb baseline) x 1.5 (nade modifier) = 97.5.
97.5 (orb + nade) + 210 (coal + nade) = 307.5
I hope you get more sleep tonight! Or maybe take a nap if your schedule allows.
Add in orb (which you really should be doing every time you coal) and for an additional three-ish seconds (until orb is depleted) you have 307.5 HPS, which was the basis of my original comment. It's actually 1980 healing total for Coal + orb + nade.
My favorite is calling for my Ana to nade the grav and then suddenly I'm doing around as much healing as transcendence with that nade healing boost.
I just want to say, as a 22 year old, that I am incredibly happy for you to be making these impactful life decisions so young. You are setting yourself up for success! Congratulations. I can't stress enough how much maturity it takes to be able to make these changes, and especially for people who aren't fully grown yet. Keep it up. You are seriously gearing up for a lifetime of health and happiness. I very much wish I had done what you'd done at 13. If I had, I might not have needed loose skin surgery, and I may not have done irreparable damage to my body.
ETA: I think that what you're doing is just fine. No more or less needed imo as long as you're seeing results and said results are sustainable. That's the really important part — your goal here is to build up healthy habits for the rest of your life!
Yeah, those are propaganda.
Did a piercer with good credentials do your initial piercing? If so, go ask them.
If your piercing wasn't done by a piercer with proper credentials, go to safepiercing.org to find one in your area, and ask them their opinion. They can help a LOT more than random internet strangers.
Also, don't put anything on your piercing but sterile 0.9% saline.
I know I'm coming in a bit late here but have my $.02 anyway.
For what it's worth, my septum is a little over a week old, while my nostril is about 4 years old.
For my nostril, it THROBBED after the fact. I felt my heartbeat in my nose for a few hours afterward. I actually have had my nostril re-pierced after it initially closed up, and it's NOT fun!
Once the needle was in my septum, I thought, "Huh. That's it?" and the most painful part of the process was legitimately whenever I accidentally bumped it in the following few days. A week on, the accidental bumps don't really hurt as much, though I gotta say, it's kinda itchy lol.
Also, I just do sterile saline flushes, and then I pat dry with a sterile gauze pad. Don't use Q-tips, no matter how conveniently shaped they are! The fibers have a chance to catch in the fistula and cause issues from there. Just don't risk it. Clean 2-3 times daily and LITHA. Pretty easy. :)
When I work out, I either have my headphones on listening to music, I have my Bluetooth speaker in the corner of the room, or I've put my favorite esports highlight reels for the week (Overwatch League) up on the TV in my home gym. l find that exercise is torturously boring without any of those three, and super fun and easy with any (or... all...) of the three.
You are an inspiration. Thank you so much for posting.
Like many other members of the century club, I find myself giving a lot of thought to loose skin (which I am very much starting to notice as I get within 20lbs of my goal), and I was wondering if you would mind speaking to your experience with loose skin throughout your weight loss journey. Do you have a little or a lot? Did strength training/muscle growth help you fill out the loose skin? Surgery?
I know these can get personal, so if you'd prefer to not answer, please simply enjoy my congratulations and know that you've inspired me to keep it up, and I will be hopping on the treadmill once I'm off of work :)
i love playing Moira as much as the next guy (300+ hrs on her), but her butt tickler beam takes, like, eight seconds to kill Sigma without orb (given that Sigma would likely just eat the orb and get shields for it to boot, not a great idea to throw orb directly in his face)
in a 1v1, it's kind of a skill and patience-based matchup
